8-9pm (7-8pm):
Well i don't really like any of the shows in this timeslot. george lopez is half decent but thats about it. I dont see the intrest in bones i would rather watch jericho. 9-10pm (8-9pm): nice to see criminal minds beat deal or no deal. i wanted CM to beat american idol but i knew it wouldn't happen. the repeat of lost got low ratings. at least people are seeing the light and not watching one garbage hill -%21 is big, 2.25 mill is low. 10-11pm (9-10pm): 2nd week in a row that CSI: NY beat Lost. CSI:NY was good last nite & so was lost (actually it wasn't that great, a whole episode of a big flashback, my god!). i recorded medium to see if it was any good, and now i know why its in 3rd every week, its awful, they played a connie ray song for about 15 seconds every 5 minutes. More interested in next weeks ratings. Still haven't figured out the appeal of Criminal Minds. |

Seems Survivor: Fiji is taking a bite out of Earl and The Office (both had over 10m last week didn't they?).
Amazing ratings for Grey's Anatomy, I may not watch the show, but I can respect anything that draws a crowd that big (then again, Desperate Housewives drew that during it's "off" season last year). Amazing how many people watch TV on Thursday nights. I hate seeing a good show like 30 Rock struggle, and The OC deserves a better send off (ratings wise) than it's getting. Come to think of it, 30 Rock is the only show I regularly watch on Thursdays anymore (mostly because I never know what to expect going in, everything else has a set formula, 30 Rock's strong point is that it has yet to establish one.) |
Note: i have watched ER, Scrubs, 30 rock & my name is earl, wat at home.
i have still recorded and have to still watch: Survivor CSI Men in trees 8-9pm (7-8pm): i have not seen last nites episode of survivor but its got good ratings. my name is earl was good last nite, i don't understand the appeal in a god awful show like ugly betty. pretty poor ratings for the war at home, its 10 times better than ugly betty. its only 100,000 away from smallville ratings, wow. 9-10pm (8-9pm): son of a bitch, the ratings are awful for scrubs this week. greys garbage beat CSI. come on NBC put scrubs in a different timeslot please! 10-11pm (9-10pm): ER was alright last nite. i don't know how men in trees did last night but it was probally better than shark, it is way to formulaic of a show to watch for me, i don't hate it cause i am a fan of james woods but the show is to formulaic for me to watch. Shows by 18-49 Demo at least scrubs is in the top 10. Final thoughts: i wish scrubs got better ratings and im sick of garbage anatomy stealing the ratings from good shows. people are going to be kicking themselves in the end because when scrubs gets cancelled due to low ratings they will realize the errors of there ways. ill finish watching the rest of my thursday primetime shows along with fridays tonite. |

I don't get why ABC has thrown in the towel on Friday's. CBS developed 3 solid shows and they are the top rated network on Friday's.
The only reason NBC is 2nd is because ABC doesn't have crap on. |
Not sure if this has already been brought up but I'm amazed that anybody still watches Deal or No Deal, let alone 16 million people. I watched it at the start but got bored with it VERY quickly. At least Millionaire had different questions to look forward to from week to week but Deal or No Deal is the same exact boring thing every single time.

Isn't ABC bringing back Millionaire for a week or two for May sweeps? I think they did that a year or two ago... |
8-9pm (7-8pm):
Like i have said before, i have lost all intrest in the weekly borefest that is ghost whisperer, nice see it beat 1 vs 100 & a repeat of garbage anatomy. i watched nanny 911 and it least it beat friday night crapdown. 9-10pm (8-9pm): for the love of god, again close to boring beats las vegas and this time by 2 million people. it just proves to me even more that people like safe formulaic, just plain boring over an original show like las vegas. and how the hell did friday night garbagefest beat trading trash? 10-11pm (9-10pm): I have said this a million times, that this season of L&O is the worst yet. however i would have rather seen it in the #1 slot cause numbers sucks, another formulaic type, done to death show with just enough of a twist that gets people to watch this have assed show. ABC from 8-10pm. Put on some original programming, dammit... |

Great ratings for Amazing Race....Good to have it back!
Terrible ratings for CJ. It actually lost over a million viewers this week. I'm concerned about it's move to Wednesday going against Criminal Minds and Idol. |
Well, they need to do something because if it stays on Sundays @ 10, it's going to get cancelled, so they might as well give it one last shot. More than likely, it's going to do poorly, but I can't see it getting numbers that much worse...

If you read his posts, you should realize his opinions are not to be taken seriously. When he refers to shows as "Grey's Garbage," "Close to Boring," etc. and can't use proper capitalization, his posts are a joke. now moving on..... Sunday - 02/18 7-8pm (6-7pm): well 3 million people watched the series finale of Reba, very emotional timeslot for me. i don't understand why more people would watch americas (un) funniest home videos over Reba? i have no intrest in watching cars go around in circles but its nice to see the simpsons in the #1 spot because of it. 8-9pm (7-8pm): nice to see good ratings for the amazing race, i like EM: HE but i never watch it. nice to see the simpsons & king of the hill beat grease: YTOTIW, worst reality show ever. 7th heaven got higher ratings this week due to the series finale of Reba, through 7th heaven is an awful show. 9-10pm (8-9pm): nice to see the rest of the amazing race and cold case get good ratings, would have liked to seen it #1 but oh well. i used to like DH but lost intrest fast. low ratings for the apprentice 6, i don't think its because of donald i think its cause people are bored of the show. good to see next to no one is watching beauty and the geek only 1 million people watched it, hell the megan mullally show in daytime did better than that. 10-11pm (9-10pm): sad to see the rest of cold case and without a trace get beat by brothers & sisters. damn CG got bad ratings last nite, its a good show and people should really tune into it. Final Thoughts: sad evening for me, the end of Reba, it was a really good finale, it left room for a spin-off and a chance for the show to maybe come back? the CW sucks and with 1 million people watching BATG maybe they should rethink there desision. |
According to Zap2it, Studio 60 got its worst ratings of the season: 4.1/7, barely beating What About Brian. With no ratings improvement possible for the next 5-9 weeks, I think I'm prepared to admit that it's one season and done for Aaron Sorkin and company, which really sucks.
|
Can anyone verify how these rankings are determine for dual-tuner DVR units? For example, both tuners are locked into a channel no matter which one I 'swap' to. They are both on the channel recording/buffering all the time. So if I watch one show and have the other tuner on another channel, do both shows count as viewed? Does it matter if it's a cable dual-tuner DVR or a satellite dual-tuner DVR?
Also, what about shows that you watch part of the time? Like the first 15 minutes or 30 minutes or switch bank and forth throughout the entire show? |

I'm shocked Rules of Engagement is doing so well, especially being directly against the 2nd half of both Heroes and 24. Since the premise seemed like every other relationship sitcom, I didn't think people would watch it.
I watched the first 2 episodes online (since 24 takes priority) and have enjoyed it so I'm happy it's doing good, just surprised. |
24 is on a steady decline :( Tho agreeably, not its strongest season.
