I heard barricks as well. Had to rewind to make sure. I said the same thing to my wife. The mainland or another island must be close. Hell, maybe it isn't even an island but a giant peninsula which is why they can't cross that imaginary line. Which sounds odd if they actually crashed in the pacific. :shrug: Who knows?

Also, it is not a random number of clicks on each TV. The number of clicks needed follows the LOST numbers: 4 the first time, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42 to complete the 6 TV screens.

The big question I have that I don't see any answers or guesses on:

Just how did John dream of Eko's brother?? He never met him or knew what he looked like. So how did that image get into John's dream?? Just what the hell is going on on this island??!!

The island has mysterious powers. Let's get even more basic. How can John walk?

After seeing the screenshots from the episode, the printouts weren't the same numbers that they have been entering in the hatch. Could there be another hatch with numbers being entered?
The last number on the printout alternates between 5 different numbers: 5,17,29,41 and 58.

That's something I've been wondering about since the first episode. If you'd been in a plane and then suddenly you woke up on a beach, why would you immediately think you were on an island? Until you start walking along the coast and end up back where you started, how would you ever know this? Why would you just automatically assume you're on an island, and not on the coastline or peninsula of a continent?

It's been a while since I've seen the first Rousseau episode--did her map specifically show that it was an island?
