LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - NBC will return "Medium," "Crossing Jordan" and "Las Vegas" to its primetime schedule in 2006-07, the network said Friday.
"These three shows have A-plus creative auspices and some of the most loyal audiences on television," NBC president of entertainment Kevin Reilly said.
"Medium," heading into its third season in the fall, "Crossing" (its sixth), and "Las Vegas" (its fourth) join a crowded crop of hours already-reserved spots on NBC, including all three "Law & Order"-branded series, which the network announced Thursday, and two early pilot pickups made last month, "Kidnapped" and "The Black Donnellys."
"Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip," an hourlong pilot featuring Matthew Perry, is also expected to get a slot. "ER" is also guaranteed a 13th season.

More Delinda and Sam is a good thing.
More freaky ghost whisperer lady is not a good thing.

I thought for sure Las Vegas was a goner since it was moved to Friday. It must be doing OK numbers there. Nice to see it's coming back.

In the ratings department, I don't know about "Medium" because I don't follow the show, but "crossing jordan" has been holding its own this year, and while "Las Vegas"'s average has gone down slightly from last year, its timeslot is actually up almost 24% (about a 1/4 more people watch Las on fridays than the previous show in the same time slot) which is a really good thing.

Question: I was so excited when I saw the news in the Ausiello Report about Scrubs being renewed. Have you heard anything concrete yet? — Dayna
Ausiello: Nope, it's still just a rumor, albeit an extremely pervasive one. Everyone I've spoken to — with the exception of NBC — says it's a done deal. Maybe NBC wants to hold off until upfront week to make an official announcement. They're sneaky like that

They said the schedule was already crowded... So what shows are getting (or have gotten) the axe? I know Joey is gone, but what else?
Never watched the other two, but glad to see Las Vegas survived

E-Ring, Surface, Teachers, Conviction are probably goners.
West Wing is ending and Will and Grace is gone.
The only new shows that NBC has officially announced for the fall is "Kidnapped", "The Black Donnelly's" and most likely "Studio 60"
I am a huge fan of CJ and am happy it made the cut. It was doing really well on Sunday's and then got some really stiff competition from Grey's Anatomy.

"Boston Legal" back on docket at ABC
By Nellie Andreeva
Tue May 2, 4:43 AM ET
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - David E. Kelley's modestly rated comedy-drama "Boston Legal" will return for a third season, sources said.
The series, starring William Shatner, James Spader and Candice Bergen, is slated to end its sophomore season with a two-hour finale May 16.
In addition to "Boston Legal," Kelley has another project at ABC, "Life on Mars," a drama pilot based on the BBC sci-fi crime drama, which is targeted for fall 2007.
"Boston Legal," which earned Emmys for stars Spader and Shatner in its freshman season, has been a modest ratings performer for ABC in the Tuesday 10 p.m. slot.

It would be inappropriate for me to say who specifically told me (read: incredibly trustworthy source), but barring some freak occurrence, Scrubs is definitely coming back. It's the matter of which network that is delaying official announcements.
