Elliott as 1 - 4, he was really 3 or 4 (dialidol was right)
Katherine as 3 - 5, she was really 1 or 2 (dialidol was wrong)
Kellie as 4 - 6, she was really 6 (dialidol was right)
Paris as 5 - 6, she was really 5 (dialidol was right)

The only one it got wrong was Katherine, and she was probably only off by 1 spot. It has Kellie or Paris to go, and Kellie went.

Looking over the past year, dial idol has been 100% right in it's safe predictions. Only people who dialidol called out to be in the bottom 3 went.

Haha I did....KINDA...but then I realized I still really like Paris and Chris. Even though Mandisa was gone, I figured I'd still watch for those two, seeing how I still really enjoy them.

Dialidol has been pretty damn accurate if you ask me. Once again DI was spot on with the bottom two prediction - Kellie and Paris. I check that site every week before the results show and darn if they haven't predicted every "surprise" bottom 3 entry so far. While not always right on the one going home, DI predicted the following:

1. Ace and Lisa B3 (believe it or not, at the time, that was a shock)
2. Katharine B3 (the only week she was there)
3. Mandisa voted off (she had never even been in the B3)
4. Chris B3 (the only week he was there)
5. Kellie B2 (Kellie has never been B3 and previous to this week almost always in the top 2 on DI)

DI has been right on at least 2 of the bottom 3 every week (including accurately predicting the surprises above). Give that site its due, no one here could have done better.

Twikoff - you have to be kidding about Dialidol, they were NOT wrong. Kellie was WELL within the margin of error for going home tonight.

The biggest surprise for me tonight was that I really enjoyed the performance by Andrea Bocelli. I'm not normally much of a fan of that type of music but the guy literally gave me goosebumps.

Agreed. That was an amazing performance. A truly gifted singer.
So surprised Pickler went home after the first time in the bottom. Usually you hang there for a couple times before they send you packing. I thought it was going to be Paris, but I think America got it right. Paris is next to go, I hope, then it gets tricky.
Cant believe they all backtracked on Katharine, which was the right thing to do. They completely bashed her, and it was unwarranted.
Does anybody know next weeks theme?

Bye Bye Pickler~!~

We got rid of her just in time, because it goes to two songs next week. The themes are said to be...

1.) Songs from the year you were born

2.) Songs from this weeks top 100 billboard

The suprise for me was that Taylor wasn't in the top 2. He's OK... but I think Chris, Katherine, and Elliot are better. This is the first week that he's shown some vulernability. For what it's worth, I can see myself buying a CD of music by any of the three I like, if they sing in a genre that I like (which they should).

OK, I was also suprised to see Pickler at the bottom - she's never been in the bottom three before tonight, right?

You certainly are entitled to your opinion, but in my, Kellie was one of the worst singers in the top 24. It was her "personality" that carried her as far as she went. She certainly was NOT better than anyone in the final 6 and absolutely deserved to go home.

The way that I understand how Dial Idol works, it would be far more accurate for them to predict who is going home than who is #1 using their methods.

No, I'm not kidding.
Katherine is better. Taylor is better. Chris is better. Elliot is better.
Kellie was better. Mandissa was better.

Paris was great at her audition. She hasn't been good since then.
She's next to go.

I think Katherine is clearly the best remaining singer.

Paris is the second best. Her problem this week was singing a Streisand song - a song that requires a woman of experience to sing. It was totally wrong for Paris. I'm surprised no one ripped her for singing a Streisand song after ripping Katherine for singing a Whitney Houston song.

Elliot is a close third.

Taylor is 4th even though I like him more than the others. I'm being objective here.

Chris is terrible as a solo vocalist. He has got to go next. He needs to get himself a in a band and become a successful rock singer.

Well, if Dialidol predicts any one of three spots for each contestant, then that is a huge margin and easy to be correct. A chimp could've guessed a range of three for each singer and still have been right most of the time.

Goodbye Kellie. You weren't nearly hot enough to be that annoying. Glad to see the voters finally wearied of her cornpone bullshit. In two years she'll be in Playboy, Penthouse, Hustler, Beaver Magazine.

My elimination predictions for the remainder of the season:
Paris goes next week. She's been on the block too many times.
Elliott after that- Good voice, but not connecting.
Taylor
Chris wins over Katharine.

Is everyone sure that Kat and Chris were the top two out of everyone that night, or only the top two out of the four that were left? Could've just been awkward way of wording it on Seacrest's part.

IIRC, American Idol doesn't usually give the rankings of anyone but the bottom two/three, do they?

Come on, there is a direct line from Vedder to Creed/Nickelback. Chris obviously sounds more like the latter, but it's not a big stretch to hear where that stuff came from. Vedder is so much more closer to the 90's wannabes than Jim Morrison.

Simon backed down on saying mcphee couldn't sing. she is the american idol
I'm surprised pickler is gone as I thought it was a pure popularity contest, this tells me not so much, and the game is hard right now.

People need to step up
