I'm pretty sure Michael was planning on lifting the key at one of those moments, but never had an opportunity he was comfortable with.

When the writers realized there are only 3 episodes left.

Fuck him! if that was my baseball card he took - I would want him getting ass raped on a daily basis.

That card is the equivalent of stealing a Ferrari.

Okay, if we assume that Tweener telling Bellick about the hole was part of Michael's plan (either with or without Tweener's knowledge)... didn't Michael's new 'suicide' plan still involve the hole? Or has he thought up a third plan since? Either way it seems like it will be next to impossible for the gang to be part of it, because now that Bellick has found the hole there is no way he's going to let them work together or even hang out in mass without being under a watchful eye.

I still think Michael knew this would happen. However, they have to start doing something for CERTAIN now. Bellick finding the hole should make him consider searching Michael's cell. I was never really clear on how Michael and Sucre were going to go out their hole and then get everyone else on the crew out of their cells...

I really enjoy this show, as out there as it can be, but when the dad started talking about "The Company" and how they are this all powerful group of people that know everything and are the real power of the world, the cheese factor went a bit beyond my tolerable level.

agreed. The in prison scenes are way more interesting than the outside world stuff on this show. So there are only 3 episodes left this season or of the entire show? As much as I love it I'm not sure what they could do to make this a two season show so I kind of hope it's 3 episodes left of the whole show. I'd rather have it go out with a bang than with a wimper.

Is this confirmed? I figured it was starting to dwindle down in number of eps left.

If that's the case, man, i'm going to get really excited. The show is getting better by the week.

Does this mean that there wont be a resolution this season and there just going to stretch this story out?

We have a winner. Yes, the next season will be about them all on the run with the conspiracy stuff still going.

There are even rumors floating around that the name of the show will change once they have staged the prison break.

Instead of yields, they give the contestants razors and pitchforks.

I'll watch it next season. But it seems to me that once they're out, the best part of the show will be gone. It's the outside stuff that everyone hates.

It is supposed to be a role reversal. While Michael had planned everything and was in total control in the penn, it will be Lincoln's street smarts that will need to be relied on once they are outside. I expect the entire dynamic of the show will change for the better (at least in terms of the "outside stuff is boring" element) with this.

They could just reverse everything. All the characters that are in jail this season will be out next season, and all the characters who were free this season are now in prison trying to break out!

That's why I said I'll keep watching. Just in case it's good. But I have to be honest here. It was the whole "prison break" theme that attracted me in the first place and kept me watching all season. With that aspect of the show gone, I'm not convinced it will keep my interest. Time will tell I guess.
