I liked this episode. Bringing the girlfriend along on the hunt mixed it up a bit, and the twist on the identity of the evil ghost was pretty good (although I knew the doll-in-the-glass was going to factor in somehow as soon as it was first shown).
Best line was when Dean was clueless on what The Da Vinci Code was about: "Well, I was just waiting for the movie on that one."

It was great to actually see an episode - moving this show against Earl/Office was horrible. But when Earl/Office are repeats, yea!
I had a feeling that the girl was the spirit from the beginning, just because the father in the painting was looking down at her, but I couldn't figure out how since they showed her urn. The dollhair aspect was a good twist.

"you guys miss me? aaahhhhhhhhhhh jus' kiddin'." that had me crackin' up.
yeah..decent twist with the little girl. even if they used 'ring' special effects on her.
nice rack on the 'girlfriend'. kinda hope she joins up with them in future episodes for whatever reason. she could be a good diversion if the blonde demon girl gets a hold of her and the brothers have to save her.
very good episode....hope they continue the humor and suspense motif. good job!

I agree that The Ring effects were a little tired, but I liked the girlfriend's reaction to them when she said something like, "That just isn't right." It had me laughing from the way she said it.

she'd be the perfect fit.
plus, if the blonde demon lady needs a good punching out, i'm not sure they'll have one of the brothers beating up a girl. they'll need a good cat fight....
i'm feeling a lot better about this show after the last coupla episodes. they've been a little edgier, a lot funnier with some nice twists here and there.
bring on the vampires!

That's the one thing I feel the show is missing. They need to bring on a chick. Unfortunately, they would probably add some cliche tough chick with attitude instead of the kinds of girls we have been seeing and she would just end up being annoying. Although the girl of the week motif they have been running with isn't so bad.

Finally caught up with this show (busy time because of school) but I enjoyed this episode a lot especially the supernatural story and the interaction of the brothers with the brunette.
