It also helps to watch several episodes of the first season to learn more about Greg House as well. You understand a little bit more why he tends to stay away from patients and his philosophies- people lie, you treat the disease and not the patient, how he decides what treatments when they are unsure of what the disease is, etc.
For me, it's thrilling because you have to disagree sometimes with the rule breaking and "morally wrong" stuff that he does, but at the same time he's the doc you'd want- the best diagnostic team possible when other docs can't figure it out. Lots of "do the ends justify the means"? type stuff to think about. Anyway, great show, ready for S2 to come out now so I can just watch all of em now and not have to wait a week in between episodes.
