8th and Ocean

Has there not been a thread for this show yet? I'm not sure how I feel about the rest of the show, but the twins alone make the show worth watching. Twins are fascinating and I'm surprised I haven't seen more explorations of them on tv and other mediums.

The two on this show are really interesting because they're at a point where they have to decide what the rest of their life is going to be like and right now they want different things. One really wants to grow up and become independent, while the other wants to guarantee that she always has this extremely close relationship. Everybody in the world can identify with these issues, but putting it in the extreme context of twins is so compelling. The problem even manifests itself in their body language, the words they use, and how they talk to each other and other people. Their decisions are tied into their insecurities and fears and whatever choices each of them make will have a definite effect on the other.

The twin with the acne problem is a real annoyance.

I don't think I've ever heard of this show. What channel is it on?

Oh, that's why I've never heard of it. I can't remember the last time I watched something on MTV.

She's too dramatic, but that makes for good tv. It's interesting last week that we saw the other twin, Kelly, may be having just as much of a problem with separating from her sister, but she's repressing it. On a surface level, you can see the boob job as Kelly forcing her sister to get her own identity, but it may be more of Kelly forcing herself to separate.

I watched it once because a coworker said it was amusing. It was dreadful. I happened to watch the episode about the girls acne. Ohhh the tragedy.
There was another episode where the good looking guy wouldnt return calls because he thought he could get better work.
These people need to get a life and get out into the real world.

I believe it would be a tragedy if the one thing you planned to be all your life was taken away from you. Especially, if your twin sister was able to continue in that lifestyle. I don't know about anyone else but I'm in love with Britt.

No, a tragedy would be if she got her feet sawed off and beaten to death with her own limbs.

Skin clears up, it'll be fixed.

I guess it is considered a tragedy to MTV's age demographic.
