Poor Beav (aka the Flash).

I like Logan's line...follow the bouncing ball...Not my Problem. He did nail all his lines!
Enjoyed Veronica's and Mac's scene talking about the Beav.

Anyone notice that Shark Field magically turned into Pittsburgh's Three Rivers Stadium for the implosion? I thought that was kinda funny since I watched that happen about 5 years ago and a TV show if just finally using that footage for something.

If he was in the stadium, yes, I agree with you. I made my comment based on the assumption that he was not in the stadium.

I love this show but man, do I feel lost sometimes.

Where/when were they refrences made?

When Weevil and Veronica are talking near the beginning Veronica responds to one of his comments by saying "Shocker!" and makes the 3 fingered boyscout salute. Weevil reaches for her hand and says "I think that's scouts honor. Your fingers are more like this..." but she shakes his hand off before he shows her.

Later on as they are leaving the sheriff's office Veronica is trying to keep Weevil from going vigilante and says "Not just yet Dirty Harry." To which Weevil replies "In case you haven't noticed I ain't no mick cop." and Veronica replies "OK, Dirty Sanchez?"

Why would the Fitzpatrick's tie his bike up underneath the stadium to be crushed, but then dump him in a bathroom in a completely unrelated area? Earlier in the season they had no problem attempting to hurt/rape/whatever Veronica after she got lippy with them, so I don't think they are just going to leave a gang member who (although framed) tried to short them on a deal and then threatened to go public with whatever info he has on the murder/bus tied up in a random restroom somewhere. I guess it's possible, but highly unlikely.

When the explosions went off he heard them, so presumably he was in the stadium. Add to that the fact that he knows something about the Fitz's, so they wouldn't just leave him in some random bathroom somewhere to be found and then blab about what he knows.

I loved the scout's honor/shocker gag. The dirty Sanchez was a bit forced, but funny.

EDIT to add:
Spoiler:
Besides the other freaky Goodman family stuff from that episode, I also remembered that Veronica was there to get a handwriting sample from Gia's little brother because the Goodman's were among Meg's clients. Another connection to the bus.

Thanks.
Spoiler:
I remember Veronica investigating the Goodman family during the Meg's sister abuse case but I forget about Dick dating Gia and sneaking into Woody's house with Beaver.

I got the feeling that he was not chained up in the stadium......but that could have just been really bad filming/effects/editing.
In the last shot of Thumper in the bathroom, there was no idication that there were charges being set off anywhere near him.... barely anything audible in the bathroom and no obvious signs of....well.....anything.....

so it either was a poorly excuted scene, or it was a different place. something just didn't feel right about that scene to me.

Is there some connection between Beaver and Woody that I have forgotten about? I don't recall the show ever mentioning them as knowing each other or being together or working together under any circumstances.....
have I forgotten something?

No, I think it was just because Cassidy was acting weird and being totally anti-sex (to the point where it seems like he may have been sexually abused) and Woody was grabbing Logan's arm which makes people think he's gay. Then they just connected the two things together.

wmansir 04-09-06 02:32 AM

The woody/beaver theory is what all the spoiler talk in this thread is about. I don't think it had to be spoilerized because it's a theory, but I just went with it.

They have been show to know each other, because Beaver's brother Dick dated Gia, Woody's daughter. Dick and Beaver were shown sneaking into Woody's house when Gia had her slumber party. Beaver's real estate business is also closely linked to Woody's incorporation plan. I'm just not sure if he's positioning his investments for or against incorporation.

If true, I think the revelation would be similar to what happened last year. There weren't any direct indications that Lilly and Aaron had a relationship. I'm not even sure they ever spoke to each other on screen, or even appeared together. They were connected because of Logan.

Serious spoiler below.
Spoiler:
The camera did do a very slooow pan past all the little league team pictures Woody had on the wall. The casting sides for the season finale reveal that Beaver was on one of Woody's teams.

What was up with Charlie's mom when she just hurried him out of the dance?

Loved the shocker reference:lol:

I wondered that as well. It seemed like she went from a "thanks so much for doing this for my son" to "get the hell away from my son" in very little time, and we were shown no reason for the change.

As somebody mentioned in this thread, it seems that the mother found out who Jackie really was and her reputation in school (her father being the main suspect for the bus crash and her reputation in school as a bitch).

I finally was able to watch this ep tonight, (thanks to finally getting it recorded late last night...Fucking TWC and their crap-ass hd-dvrs  )...I really liked this past week's show although I thought it was Bizarro Veronica-land, everything just seemed to be really out of left field tonight. But this is pretty much how last year happened as well, all of the sudden bits a pieces just started coming together, but more questions were raised until you got to the last episode.

Wow, how unbelieavably strange. I also had to watch the ep last night because my TWC DVR saw fit to not record on Wednesday. And I was going to say the same thing about the ep -- everyone seemed to be acting really strange. Some of them even looked different to me. Beaver just looked different I thought, and Weevil looked like he used too much self-tanning cream or something. I don't what it is, but I just thought he looked off. And while Logan had some incredible lines, he just seemed way more perky than usual. It was just a very strange episode in so many regards.
