Well, now that it's about done with season 5, syndication is in its future, so I could see NBC letting it go if they thought they could get better ratings with a different show.

The critic from TV guide seems to think that everyone (including the fans) thinks Scrubs should move to Thursday....except NBC execs so obviously they don't know what they have.

I forgot about the joke on this weeks episode about Cox and his wife going out with the other couple and being slipped the Mickey. Great stuff.

There was an article in my local paper (no link, sorry I looked) about Scrubs possibly being on the chopping block for next year. With NBC getting Sunday Night Football, that's four hours of programming time they don't need to fill in the fall (Jan is another story). It listed Earl and Office as the only surefire comedy returnees for NBC. E-Ring, Heist, Surface and Conviction were also listed as up in the air.

In my opinion, there are plenty of openings in NBCs schedule for Scrubs, but they haven't asked me...

How badly is Teachers doing? That can't be staying around very long either.

NBC is slipping in an episode of Teachers in "The Office" slot tonight. I think I'd rather see a repeat of "The Office"...

I laughed at JD getting Turk's booty (left from a will in the event Turk were to pass away).

The Office over Scrubs. I thought The Office was still shaky.

It's really going to be interesting to see how NBC handles that issue. Will they do better than ABC did with MNF?

Scrubs works darn well as a show shown back to back. I wouldn't at all mind if NBC ordered another season to be shown starting next spring 11 weeks in a row an hour at a time.

I completely forgot about J.D. and Turk talking about Gilmore Girls. The wife and I were laughing our asses off after that exchange.

Not so well, but then its lead-in is Scrubs, and Scrub's numbers aren't huge either. (We're not talking Joey numbers...now those were bad!)

Teachers is just a horrid show. So, is the lead teacher's hair supposed to be stuck off like that? Still, it's good to see little Kenny from the Cosby Show getting work.

And to get back on topic, Scrubs rocks!

Why move Scrubs to Thursdays? The is nothing on on Tuesdays, plus Thurs. has survivor, ER , and probably a slew of other shows.

I guess the move would be for NBC to compete against the other networks, but what I care about most is my viewing pleasure.

I don't understand why people care what day its on. In the DVR age, it doesn't matter. As long as it gets ratings and I think it's doing fine where it is.

House, The Unit, Sons & Daughters, and Scrubs are all on at 9pm on Tuesdays (and somehow, I watch them all. Two DVR's and the internet is required, but i manage to do it!).

Believe it or not, there isn't a timeslot with absolutely no other show on...shocker, right. There's always going to be a conflict for someone. If they did move the show, the cries would start about giving it a stable timeslot (which it currently has had for a while).

Movieking...thank you very much, I couldn't place the black teacher from "Teachers", but I knew he was a child actor. And I really need to get to the HDTV for Teacher...Sarah Shahi make Sarah Alexander look bad, and thats saying something.

I don't think pulling a show until spring and then randomly putting it on the schedule with varying combinations of new/new, old/new, and new/old starting at 8:30 or 9:00 really counts as a stable timeslot situation.

Lest we forget, Scrubs already had a chance at Thursday nights 3 years ago, and didn't do so hot.

Back to this episode, we all know Scrubs' penchant for follow-up jokes to jokes or events that happened months or years before. So, in this episode, J.D. referred to the small pencil that Dr. Cox gave him like a baton on his 3rd day of work. I haven't seen that first season since it was originally broadcast, and I don't own the DVD's, so can someone please check and see if J.D. was given a pencil by Cox?
