Now if C-SPAN will only do the same with "Emily's Reasons Why Not"...

Did the viewers know that the gang knew that Jake was gay in the 3 episodes that aired on CBS? In the 4th episode aired by VH1, it's readily apparent the gang does know about Jake being gay.

Too bad this show didn't find an audience, it's a breezy show, loved the cameos, and who knew Aimee Mann would be pretty natural for her acting scenes with Tom? "It's a mystery."

I just finished watching ep4 and that was my question (I thought maybe I missed an episode). I swear it seemed like nobody knew Jake was gay except the audience and his partner but guess not.

I wonder if that was the reason CBS cancelled the show right before episode 4 was to air. ABC cancelled Crumbs right before Fred Savage's character was going to come out to his family. NBC cancelled The Book of Daniel right before the gay bashing episode.

Glad I'm not the only one who was thinking that. I thought I missed something.

Anyone know what the song was at the end of episode 5 ("The Window")? Another good episode. It's sad this show didn't make it as it's really grown on me.

We are rationing these shows on the TiVo, though it's tempting to blow through them in a row... I can't believe I didn't realize that "friend" was Kitty from A.D.. I guess it was the glasses that did it. Though to be fair, I only caught one episode before they pulled the plug on it...

We are through ep. 2, and loving it. I didn't delete Ep. 1 yet, and will probably watch them all again later.

Finally got through all 8 episodes of Love Monkey and it's a damn shame CBS canned it after just 3 episodes. FWIW, it got as much closure as a defunct show was going to get.

So there were only 8 episodes in the can?

That's what the first post in this thread said in regards to the number of episodes shot.

Certainly agree with that. I'm glad they got back to Wayne and gave his character something of an arc.

I think this show works fine as a mini-series of sorts. I think I'd get fairly sick of the "undiscovered artist trying to be signed by the small label" storyline every week.
