definitely "i'll understand". But go ahead and pay the iTunes money.

not that great of a flashback. pretty boring, actually. But the episode overall was great just for the last 5 minutes.

I'll understand.

He was referring to Locke just taking the money and not bringing it to him or not being willing to do it all and never seeing him again.

Ok, fellas, I think I got the point. Anybody else feel the need to chime in? If so, I'll understand...

"I'll understand" does NOT mean that he felt bad for what he put John through and would understand if he took the money and ran. You guys are told he's a con man and you're still falling for it! He knew exactly what to say and how to behave to con John into getting him his money. He doesn't care about John, he was just using him. Again. The con involved making John think his father actually cared about him. I didn't buy that line for one minute.

Can someone refresh me on why it's believed Anthony Cooper is the "Sawyer" that originally conned Sawyer's family? Is it just because he's a con man?

Probably just because of all of the existing connections we've seen between the characters. It would only make sense that Locke's dad, who we now know to be an all-out con-man, could potentially be the guy Sawyer's been looking for. I don't think it is anything more than speculation at this point.

Just watched my copy. Good Episode.

Guess I'm not a smart as I thought. They made it obvious that Henry was an "other". And, I was positive that they'd find some type of "evidence" (the "others" seem to love using props and deception). But, I was so suprised to find out that Henry Gale was actaully more than just a cover story. And um, could they have made him any less like that damn photo id, without having Henry be an asian woman.

I also guess that the "others" aren't as smart as I thought. For such devious and clever minds, that was a biiiig slip they made. I was disappointed.

BTW, was I the only one fully expecting the thugs to break Locke's legs.

it's purely speculation at this point, but in the past we've seen many of the characters were somehow connected to each other before the crash. even in this same episode, we saw that locke was connected to sayid through nadia. so it's probably no coincidence that locke's dad is a con man.

I think that the "Others" underestimated the group. Henry probably figured that they would find the balloon and all would be fine. I bet he never expected them to dig up the body.

I was thinking the same last episode, but then I think this episode made it clear- Locke is easy to manipulate.

Exactly! Thank you...he's a con man, not a murderer (as far as we know). He specializes in stroking people to get what he wants. He never cared about Locke a bit, and if he thought he could've got him to get the money for nothing, he would've.

In Locke and Helen's final scene at the hotel, I couldn't stop thinking that Peg Bundy still "had it going on".

down at the bottom. PRD every 6-8 months.

Periodic Ration Drop (in one of the earlier pictures). Makes sense.

5 fatalities? Maybe the drops are done by balloon (thus no one hearing a plane), and the original henry gale was one of the fatalities?
