Big fan of Green Acres. Lot of funny stuff in there. The show seems fairly smartly written to me.
Of course, there are plenty of short-lived spin-offs that rate a "what were they thinking" that didn't make the list. The Tortellis, for example. Or that spin-off from Married With Children that starred Matt LeBlanc.

DS9 and Knot's Landing as bad spinoffs? Hell Knot's is one of the best soaps of that era and it outlasted Dallas.
The one's that come to my mind are After Mash. The spinoff of Alice, Flo. The Jefferson's spinoff for Florence, Joanie Loves Chachi and Joey.
I was reading the other night that there was a spinoff of Laverne and Shirley and Happy Days called Blanky's Beauties yet it was set in a different decade. ?

What about the Andy Griffith Show which was a spin off of the Danny Thomas Show? And then Gomer Pyle USMC which was a spin off of TAGS?
For the record I put The Andy Griffith Show in the "much better than the original show" category. Gomer Pyle however, was better as a secondary character on TAGS than his own show, IMHO. Not saying it was a horrible show, because there were lots of enjoyable parts, but no way was it better than the show it originated from.

No talk of Growing Pains --> Just the Ten of Us?
Or Head of the Class --> Billy?
And while Voyager was the worst Star Trek show by far, DS9 was everything a character-driven show should be. Hell, some of DS9's recurring characters had more development than Geordi and Beverly combined.

They didn't mention "The Law and Harry McGraw," which I believe was a spinoff of "Murder, She Wrote."
Speaking of "After M.A.S.H.," does anyone remember the parody "Before M.A.S.H.?" It was on some comedy show, but I don't remember which one. They showed a guy in a field working, and he looked up and said "I hope Hawkeye get here someday."

I 8th or 9th ST: DS9 not belonging on the "Bad" list.
And where the heck is Fish, the spin-off from Barney Miller. Fish is one of the worst shows ever made and easily on the "Bad" list.

How's about bombarding the fool who wrote this list with disagreements?

Here's something I always wondered : What exactly defines a spin-off? I ask because Mork & Mindy is considered a Happy Days spin off. It really isn't in my definition. To use established characters to introduce another and then immediately take him into his own show is sorta cheating. Yeah, that's kinda what happened in CSI: Miami and NY, but those are more franchises.
To me, a spin-off should be when a popular character from one show is spun off to do his or her own series like Rhoda, Fraiser or even The Ropers.
Oh, and one spin-off I loved but is almost completely forgotten was The Tortellis. That short-lived series starring Dan Hedaya and Jean Kasem was funny as hell, or at least seemed that way to me at the time.

Deep Space Nine on the list as bad? It's my favorite Star Trek series.

I agree with 'Decker' that a spin-off should be more than a one-shot character getting his own series. That's almost more of a crossover. But, so many people consider such instances spin-offs that I think it's pretty well accepted.
