I'm surprised nobody talked about the fiasco of Farscape's cancellation of the fifth season on Sci-Fi Channel. Thank G*d things are better with Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis and Battlestar Galactica nowadays!

No. There was an actual TV show based on the movie with Jennifer Aniston playing the role of Ferris sister.

I vote for Now and Again.

Was thirtysomething cancelled, or did the producers call it quits?

He's a Moderator.

It's been nice knowing you.

All this because you didn't get the obviously sarcastic post of the person that you insulted.

I think we have an adolescent posting here . . .

But my favorites that were cancelled prematurely:

American Gothic
Carnivale
Arrested Development
Farscape

As I recall, strange luck had good ratings, but fox cancelled it b/c they only wanted in-house shows on the aira t that point. Atleast that is what I heard at the time...

There were a bunch of one season shows that I wish would have held on for a second season:

Philly (as I stated before)
Medical Investigation
Committed

There have been far too many great shows cancelled.

To name a few.

Angel
Firefly
Wonderfalls
Freaks and Geeks
The Inside
My So Called Life
Twin Peaks
Millennium
Lone Gunmen

You could also add the X-files, they should have wrapped up the Scully/Mulder story and continued with the new agents. It would never have been as good but still better than much of what is on TV now.

Other than Firefly, which has been mentioned...I would say Boston Common and The Guardian. I don't exactly watch tv (the first season of The Guardian was the last thing I watched with semi regularity), so unfortunately I can't add anything else.

I've always wondered that too. I didn't really watch it until it was on Lifetime. The way the final episode ended, though, I'm pretty sure they knew it would be the end. Wasn't there talk of them doing a tv movie? Did that air and I just forgot about it or was that just a rumor?
