Ok I've Finally Accepted it

Ive finally accepted the fact that Angel and Buffy are really finished for good and will not be returning with new series.

it has taken a while, a lot of tears and much much much much anger towards the WB has been vented but i'm finally at that happy place of acceptance

I would like to thank all those that supported me in my time of crisis

Are you actually speaking of the Angel and Buffy character's, or any of the characters in the Buffyverse? Because if you are talking about the latter, then there is still a chance for a Spike movie.

Actually, if you believe the rumors, there is still a chance for quite a few more Whedonverse movies, as you said, starting with Spike.

Agreed, but I think Spike and Will characters are the only ones that could carry a movie or show.

I think we'll get a movie someday, but it'll be years from now and the actors will be waaay older. Sort of like when they have Hunter reunions.

Unlike cops (even ex-football player ones), vampires aren't supposed to age. The clock is very much running on any sort of follow-up that involves the Angel or Spike characters.

I don't how I knew, but when I saw the thread title I immediately felt that it was somehow a Buffy and/or Angel thread. Weird.

I've pretty much accepted it too, but there is a possibility Joss will bring the verse back someday if he'll stop making movies for a little while. The guy is needed in TV land bigtime.

Oh god, no more Spike, please. That character is done. He had a great exit in the last episode of BtVS and the WB fucked it up by sticking him into the last season of Angel. More would just be like shooting a huge load on your grandmother's bloated corpse.

Now, if you want to talk a Ripper movie or series...

Ok I've finally accepted it... I'm going to continue to click this thread due to my poor memory and intentionally vague thread title.

Well, Terminators aren't suppose to age but that didn't stop a 50-something Arnie from doing T3. I'm not saying it's right, but I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to pull it anyway. Hell, Juliet Landeau was starting to show her age by her last Buffyverse appearance.

I knew it when I saw Willow on How I met your Mother, and well Oz on Four Kings which is gone now. Maybe he could join the cast of How I met your Mother.

Did you know it when Eliza Dushku was on "Tru Calling" for its short run on Fox?

Interestingly enough, if you have seen the new David Boreanaz show "Bones", you'll notice he looks both younger and thinner than he did in latter seasons of ANGEL. His physical changes were a common quirk/complaint among fans, but looking at him now, it's obvious that it didn't have to be that way.

I'd like an Illyria/Willow/Wesley movie.
The Spike movie is a bad idea. I have a feeling it will be aimed at an audience of teen girls.
I'm glad I clicked on the vague thread title because I almost Did Not.

Whedon has never been known to aim something for a specific gender or audience, so your feeling is most likely 100% wrong. The only problem with a Spike movie is figuring out how he got out of the situation at the end of Angel. Whedon makes things for human beings with a heart and brain, not for a certain gender. Period.

I can only assume that feeling came due to you disliking Spike. If they can figure out a way to get him out of the Angel season finale situation I'd love to see a Spike movie and I'd LOVE to see Illyria in it too. It'd be awesome to have Wesley as well, but that would be tricky. I'm definitely down with having Willow too.

Anything with Spike & Illyria would be priceless.

I was thinking Firefly, but I should have known those guys haven't accepted it yet.

Hell, I'd even take an Andrew or Riley movie if Whedon was writing it.
