This was probably my least favorite episode of the season. The only part I really enjoyed was the Awesomeness motivational poster - and they didn't even show it!
Have they decided to completely ditch the kids? I miss Ted's hot daughter.

They were annoying, but I did laugh when they were making him choose between Bea Arthur and Betty White, or Uma Thurman in a wheelchair vs. Scarlett Johanson with no arms.
I laughed when Marshall told Lily he loves her because she giggles every time she hears the word "sack" but I don't think the canned laugh track found it as funny as I did.

Weakest episode of the season. Too much Marshall, and they tried to make the comedy a little to broad, without success (Marshall looking in the mirror and seeing himself as a gorilla....LAME). I liked the Robin scenes, but other than that and a few Barney moments, a very laugh free episode, that barely held my interest. I'm sure next week it'll be back to it's usual kick ass self.

See, I thought this was one of the better episodes. Ted works best when matched with Robin and that's how they had him most of the show. We got to see another side of Marshall and Barney finally got the apprentice he's been looking for in Ted. The Lily stuff was weak as tas the gorilla stuff but it was still fun.

i agree, i thought this was one of the better episodes. more marshall and barney is a good thing.
"that was like a pregnant cat on a porch swing swatting at flies on a lazy sunday afternoon"
"wow, that was really specific"
and i know i didn't get it exactly right, so anyone can fix it for me.

I liked the episode a lot, but I didn't really like the whole setup with the gorilla stuff and all the weird cutaways. I actually thought the 'Conformity' poster was even funnier than the 'Awesomeness' one. I wish you could buy those.

http://www.despair.com/ sells these. Barney had a few of these on his walls.

They did have one reference to the future, when the older Ted narrator mentioned that Marshall's company had a plan to stop global warming and then as an aside said that it ended up not happening.

Did anyone else not pay attention at all to the conversation that was shown while Barney was singing karaoke? I found myself trying to listen to Barney sing more than the other characters talk. I wondered how well they were going to have Barney sing; Neil Patrick Harris did perform in Cabaret on Broadway after all.

Marshall and Barney are the two best characters on the show. I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Alyson wouldn't sing on 'Once More With Feeling' but she sang for THIS!?!?
Yeesh.
This whole episode was just unpleasant. And I'm starting to actively dislike pretty much all the characters.
