'Press Your Luck' Host Dies in Plane Crash

Press Your Luck was my favorite part of having summer vacation as a kid. I loved that show. RIP, Peter.

Didn't that champion that memorized the game patterns die also?

Must be the Press Your Luck curse.

Yep, me too. Every morning Monday-Friday at 10:30 am on CBS I was glued to the tv watching Press Your Luck. He seemed like he would be a fun guy to be around. Hate to see him go.

Tomarken and his wife were flying a needy patient to UCLA Medical Center. A little different situation than the other two...

I heard about the crash this morning on CNN but they didn't give the names of the passengers, and on the report it mentioned that one person lived, one had died, and one was still missing. I'm guessing its the same crash since the details are pretty close. The article didn't mention any survivors though so who knows.
Loved the show as a kid.I still do the Big Money, NO Whammy chant.

Apparently, the ratings back in that day didn't take into account the massive child population watching the show in the summers. I'm happily shocked to see so many people who loved this show post here.

just watched those clips... how could they not know something was going on? The guy was reacting before you could even see what he landed on.

Of course they knew something was up..the question is: What could they do? He wasn't cheating. They couldn't stop the game because he was winning.

I loved PYL. Sad to see Peter is gone.

And the new PYL on GSN is just not as good as the original.
