I just read that NBC is going to be passing on this show and not ordering episodes...but it is being shopped to FOX.

That sucks. This sounded like it would have been a nice fit with My Name is Earl and The Office.

All I know is, on "Controls the Universe," when Andy walked into work one day, saw Wendy and started daydreaming about how to greet her (Hi, How are you, etc), and then, back to reality, walked up to her and said "Wendy, Hi are you?" it was one of the funniest things I ever heard, and me and a buddy quote it to this day.

Bring on more.

Since no one else said it, I'll call it: bullshit. It's still a midseason series on NBC.

Latest news:

http://www.thefutoncritic.com/news.aspx?id=7225

ANDY BARKER, P.I. (NBC) - Clea Lewis (Audrey Penney on "Ellen") has joined the cast of the midseason comedy. She'll take over for Amy Farrington as Jen Barker, the wife of Andy Richter's character. No reason for the change was given. Harve Presnell, Ion Overman, Marshall Manesh and Tony Hale also star in the half-hour, which comes from creators Conan O'Brien and Jonathan Groff.
Awesome to see Tony Hale's name attached to this.

Wally?

And Andy Richter + FOX = cancelation. Hasn't he learned yet?

Besides Married with Children, what is the longest-running (non-animated) sitcom FOX has ever had?

That 70's Show ran 8 seasons. Malcom in the Middle ran 7.

After that, with five seasons each:
Living Single
The Bernie Mac Show
Martin

Did you not see this is going to be an NBC series? It clearly states that in the blurb from futon critic.

That, and I explicitly said:

It's still a midseason series on NBC.
Reading comprehension these days ...

What is the status of this show? It's still listed as a midseason replacement at NBC:

http://www.nbc.com/NBC_First_Look/sh...dy/index.shtml

But for what season? Anyone? Bueller?

This was posted in another thread, but thought I'd also post it here in case people search for "Andy Barker"

http://www.variety.com/article/VR111...goryid=14&cs=1

NBC has also found a home for "Andy Barker, P.I.," the new Andy Richter laffer from exec producers Conan O'Brien and Jonathan Groff. "Barker" will get a five-week run at 9:30 Thursdays beginning March 15.

You can watch the first six episodes on NBC.com right now in their entirety:

http://www.nbc.com/Video/rewind/full...dybarker.shtml

I haven't checked it out yet, but there you go. Why in the world would they just give away so many episodes? I could understand them putting the pilot online, but the first six episodes?

I guess they're dumping the show, then. Why else put 6 eps online.

Did anyone watch tonight? What did you think? I think (hope) Andy can do better than this.

I watched it. I thought it was okay, but can't see an easy way for them to make a whole series out of it.

I didn't particularly enjoyed the episode last night. I think the only two time I chuckled was when Andy's wife asked him if he was taking drugs and when the doll recorder spits out the line by Sandra Bullock in Miss Congeniality.

I miss 30 Rock.
