DonnachaOne 03-04-06 12:34 AM

Anyone know where it's from? Over at the View Askew board, people assume it's British in origin.

nickdawgy 03-04-06 12:50 AM

That was pretty funny

Cardiff Giant11 03-04-06 08:34 AM

that was pretty cool. I liked the claymation opener to the episode that was on this past sunday too.

Because of the license plate and the fact that the steering wheel is on the right side rather than the left, that'd be my guess.

Sekots 03-04-06 09:16 AM

That was pretty cool.

TheNightFlier 03-04-06 09:26 AM

 good stuff

Better than I thought it will be.

TomOpus 03-04-06 11:27 AM

Nice.

It'd be cool to see a side-by-side shot.

Tarantino 03-04-06 11:57 AM

Awesome!

Numanoid 03-04-06 12:09 PM

Sounds like this was actually filmed for the opening of an upcoming Simpsons episode:

General Zod 03-04-06 12:12 PM

This was great.. no big blue hair for Marge though :(

orderandlaw 03-04-06 01:03 PM

Whoo dang... That in connection to anything, or was it used on the show or something?

Read 2 posts above yours.

Brent L 03-04-06 08:27 PM

Wow, that is awesome.

I just put together this PIP comparison. It's not exactly perfect, and I had to use two different openings to get something that matched the "real life" classic version, but it gives you a good idea of just how much the two are really alike in my opinion:

TomOpus 03-04-06 08:35 PM

Great job, Brent. Looks like they missed the shopping cart shot otherwise it would've matched the whole way through.

devynal 03-04-06 09:06 PM

What codec should I use to view this?

mndtrp 03-04-06 09:12 PM

That was pretty smooth. I'm impressed.

The Simpsons Come to Life...

"Makers of the hit cartoon The Simpsons have a filmed the show's opening titles using real actors. In the hit viral going around the world we get to see what Bart, Homer, Marg, Lisa and Maggie would look like if they were humans. Simpson's maker Matt Groening has approved the human version of the show's opening credits to promote the brand new series."

saw this on slashdot..pretty cool..

pilot 03-05-06 04:24 PM

bah I suck ..but I have the power to move and combine threads!

moved and combined with my thread and it's now in TV instead of Other.. :)

mmconhea 03-05-06 06:19 PM

you made my day! Awesome!

Snowmaker 03-05-06 06:41 PM

Why does Lisa look older than Bart?

Nick Martin 03-05-06 06:42 PM

I love the attention to detail..."Bart" jumping from above the car and "Homer's" butt crack while running from "Marge's" car.

RocShemp 03-05-06 07:46 PM

I liked it. It wasn't a 100% but close enough.

TheMadMonk 03-05-06 08:36 PM

Impressive.

shaun3000 03-06-06 12:08 AM

Notice the band teacher, Milhouse and the twins in the band scene? How about all the towns people when Bart is skating through? I saw Mrs. Lovejoy, Moe, Barney, Apu, "Bleeding Gums" Murphy, and a skinny Chief Wiggums. And at the nuke plant, Smithers and Mr. Burnsa are standing behind Homer in the background.

costanza187 03-06-06 06:00 AM

I loved that!

That was the coolest thing I've seen since that thread about the real "Simpsons house" thing.
