I got to go to a screening of the pilot a few months back and the show was terrible. Hopefully they went back and re-shot a lot of it to actually make it funny. But from what I saw the show won't last too long.

laugh track is killing it for me already and I'm only 5min into the show.. I understand that a laughtrack is a staple of the sitcom but they don't need to pound away on the "HAHAHAHAAHAHAAH!HAHAHAAH!" key over and over every few seconds.

I liked it a lot. I didn't notice the laugh track to be overbearing, like many other sitcoms.
I think JLD has great comedic timing and I thought she did really good. And the kid wasn't some overly cutsie type.
I hope it sticks around, and all you poopie heads here give it a second chance.

Who is Wanda Sykes? Was she in it? I don't know her...

I tried watching it, but my CBS affiliate's audio feed got behind by a second, so it was hard to watch (for 15 or so minutes), so I quit and just finished up with Deal or No Deal and then flipped over to 24.

I liked it. Definitely a typical sitcom offering, but Julia is hilarious as usual. Nice to see Andy Richter in the 2nd episode.

/No Wanda Sykes. As I said before, she is not a regular

I tuned in for the second episode. After about five mins. of getting pounded by the overbearing laugh track I switched it off.
Doubt I'll be back except maybe as a background while making dinner or cleaning guns or something, if there is absolutely nothing else on. Sorta like how Joey was.

I was going to give it a shot, but since the regular time slot is during 24 and RAW, I decided to pass it by. Having Andy Rectum and Wanda Suckes as guest stars helped that decision.

Nice to see Andy Richter get a guest spot.

Is there really a reason to threadcrap all over the place? I can understand if you didn't like the show, but I mean you only gave it 5 minutes?

Ratings are in and the first episode beat it's lead-in and the second retained 90% of 2 and a Half Men's rating. I expect CBS would have to be pretty happy with those kind of numbers.

Meh, it was ok. A little akward. I'll watch the one from 9:30 sometime to see if it was better then the pilot.

I really liked both episodes, the second moreso than the first.
As for KOQ (which is probably one of my faves of all time), I really hope it gets picked up again. Right now, the only thing stopping it is that both of the stars contracts are up now I believe.

Laugh track is bad. I think it is completely uneccessary.
Kid is obnoxious. Hate the little wise-ass kids. No 8 yr old will say that crap.
Otherwise I think the show has some potential. Pretty inoffesnsive. I don't think it will last though.

I agree. This is definitely one of the BETTER sitcoms to come out in the past few years. I never understood who watches shows like Two and Half Men and King of Queens, yet doesn't like a show like this!?!
Writing is tight, characters are great and Julia Louis Dreyfuss is better than ever.
I don't know why all the criticism over the laugh track that is no different than half the other sitcoms on right now. I don't notice anything particularly obtrusive.
As for Wanda Sykes, I agree, you either love her or hate her but here she is dialed way down and not at all like her standup act.
I've seen every ep so far and not a bad one among them. definitely a keeper for me!
