ABC picks up "Masters of Science Fiction"

These are actually about like compilations of short stories for Sci-Fi. Fairly slow, not much too them. Certainly not enough to be anything more than a short story, and a mediocre twist.
But I still watch.

I finally watched the second one I had recorded and found it to be equal to the first one in lameness. It was also about 30 minutes longer than necessary. At least with "Masters of Horror" you get the added distraction of nudity and swearing.

Watched "Jerry Was A Man" tonight.
Not quite sure what to think of it all... wasn't impressed with much except for Malcolm McDowell's rant in the office about his career.
Seemed to me to be a cross of "AI" and "Millennium Man"... and "The Stepford Wives."
... but I am looking forward to next week's finalé "The Discarded" with Brian Denehy, John Hurt, and James Denton and is directed by Jonathan Frakes.

Although the Heinlein short-story was written decades before Star Trek, this episode reminded me a whole lot of "The Measure of a Man" from TNG. Right down to Jerry looking like Data.
So far, these episodes have been pretty m'eh. Next week looks to be, to me anyway, the most interesting of the bunch.

Despite my general distaste for anything with the shrill Anne Heche, I liked this one the best so far, although that isn't saying much. I agree that it definitely seemed very familiar, but I thought they had a little more fun with this one.

I'd just settle for the two unaired eps to be given a shot on TV (or DVD).
Here's the official site, but there's nothing there about season 2:

Pretty good episode tonight. Glad they ended it with a good one.
The ending was telegraphed, but was appropriate. Finally some good acting by some good veterans (Denehy and Hurt), and the make-up was decent.
Still wish that they would air the missing two eps sometime.

I've caught the last 2 minutes of every episode thus far (cause I keep forgetting it's on). Tonight was the first night I actually watched an episode straight thru. It was okay but the jazzy music drove me nuts.

Yeah, I didn't care for the music selection in the last episode either. But, I did think it was the best of the bunch. Nice cameo by Ellison too.
