Horrible episode.

10 minutes of frog hunting. Hurley is becoming an episode killer.

Sayid, an experienced torturer, showing emotion while torturing. I would think to even begin torturing someone you would have to remove all your emotion. The whole breakdown thing was poorly done, I just didn't buy it. I also didn't believe the plot mechanic that led him to become a torturer. The Iraq settings were great.

I did like the Sayid / Charlie scene. You almost (almost) feel sorry for Charlie. He is being manipulated into doing the dirty work for some people.

Horrible episode.
I love Sayid and wanted to like this, but I have to agree. The stuff with Sawyer and Hurley was just plain awful, and the backstory for Sayid was really weak. I too didn't buy his breakdown. It was like Sawyer's speech last week, it just didn't ring true. Hell, even the stuff with Danielle didn't flow right, nor did Jack's confrontation with Locke. That was a real disappointment.

Sayid or Jack Bauer? I can't decide who's my favorite torturer?

When Jack (who is really getting on my nerves now)
Glad I'm not the only one who thinks that Jack is extremely annoying this season. It seems like he's just in everyone's way. He's the one that wanted to start the "army" and now they have a potential "other" trapped whom they could possibly get vital information from, and he tries to protect him instead of letting Sayid handle it. His facial expressions constantly look like he has a massive case of the runs too. Damn he's annoying me this season.

It seems like the writers are trying to get everyone to dislike all of the characters this season. Sawyer, Jack, Charley, Hurley and Locke have all been different from season 1 and really annoying this season. I hope this trend does not continue, and enough of the damn breaks already.

Man I was literally cheering when the counter reached 0.
Liked Sayid's backstory, and liked his present day story even more. He's a bad ass, and I finally got to see him grieve for Shannon. I also believe, based on the look ballon man and Sayid gave each other at the end, that he is one of the others.
Loved it when Jack told Locke to shut up. I've been wanting to tell him the same damn thing for a while.
Glad to see Hurley again, but damn he and Sawyer bored me this time.
No Kate

I'm pretty sure it was her real dad. He "stepdad" was her mom's husband when she was pregnant, but he was off on duty when mom got preggers. He said he never told her that other dude was her real dad because he knew she'd kill him. At least, I think I'm remembering that right.

I'm not a zoologist or anything but it seems to me that, given the colouring on that frog, it was most likely poisonous. Methinks Sawyer might be in for a little discomfort.

I enjoyed this episode. Sure, Hurley/Sawyer was filler, but it didn't distract from the show. I was surprised Hurley would 'cheat' like that -- even if it was for food.

Couldn't Sayid have asked simpler questions that only a non-Other would know? (Or at least have a likely-hood of knowing) Such as: "Who is the governor of Minnesota?" Or anything else about current events that only someone that isn't living on a deserted island would know?

I just had this image of a giant frog sneaking up behind Sawyer. The frog's tongue shoots out and pulls Sawyer into its mouth. The rest of the survivors come running and start poking spears at it.

But yeah, a poison frog works too.

It looked like a Poison Dart Frog which is poisonous, but it if it did not excrete the poison out of its glands/pours prior to death he might be okay. It would be nice to see him get sick and back off the asshole a tad, but I am sure the writers will skim this issue. And where there is one frog there is usually more. The animals on this island just want to jack with Sawyer.

This episode was weak and this season has been pretty weak. The Hurley/Sawyer stuff was just boring and once again they didn't answer questions. For being such a great interrogator and torturer, Sayid sure didn't get much info.

They need to learn a few lessons from 24. It's ok to have unanswered questions and cliffhangers, but they need to answer them in a reasonable amount of time.

I didn't mind Sawyer/Hurley. The show can't be serious, dark & despondant all the time. They've done lighthearted plots before with the golfing, Chalie looking for peanut butter, and the like. I thought it fit right in. It offset the serious nature of the torturing. So I think it worked.

D.I.A.=Defense Intelligence Agency. Clancy Brown's character must have been undercover in Iraq just before the war, which explains his beard.

On the counter, one good theory I've heard is that the symbols match up to the other locations, which are (supposedly) stars in the constellation of Apollo.
