Eric left at the end of the last season left to teach in Africa (and in real life to work on his serious acting career).
Kelso left to work at the Playboy Club in Chicago as a bouncer 4 or 5 episodes into the season.
Hyde went to Las Vegas and married the stripper between seasons.
Josh Myer's character (the new guy) came after Kelso showed up and I think just started hanging out with them. He's Donna's new love interest.
And yes, the show has gotten so terrible, this is it's last season.

Too bad he has his own show, or I am sure the producers would have pulled out all the stops to get Ted McGinley to join the cast. Maybe he will do a cameo this season to give the show it's final nail in the coffin.

I've seen two of the new episodes, and they are horrible. That new guy is just annoying. They should have ended this show when Topher Grace left. What was the point in keeping it around. Who the hell is watching it?
OTOH, I'm enjoying catching all the reruns on Fox and FX. My wife and I watched this show early on and stopped watching for some reason. I had forgotten how funny and sharp it was. It's a shame they let it get to what it is now.

Ted McGinley's show is rumored to get the axe this season so who knows.
If they hadn't brought Leo (Tommy Chong) back, I'd probably gave up on That 70's Show. Upcoming episode:

I haven't seen the show in a while but I wondered why they were all still hanging out in Eric's basement after he left for Africa? Who hangs out at a friends house when he's not around, (and with his parents, no less)?
