And don't forget in the episode "Cost Dad The Election", when Earls Dad was giving out flyers the placard said "Earl's Dad loves HD" or something along those lines...

Great ep last night. Non-stop laughs for me.

The old lady throwing her bag of groceries at the bus when it didn't stop was hilarious.

I've been wondering about those HD gags, not having seen this on an HD TV. Thanks for posting those images!

Didn't anyone else freeze frame the post card that Earl got? I don't have HD but I could make out the address for Earl's Hotel. It had the name of the hotel, I think along with the street adress. For the town, it looked like "Camden, USA." No state was shown. I couldn't make out the post mark though. Anyone with hidef that could make out the post card better?

Someone answer this guy! He's only posted 27 times in almost 7 years, so you know this is important!

Greg Garcia (the show's creator) went to Frostburg State, and it is in the Maryland boonies.

He has a post in 2004, one in 2005 and this is his first (and last?) in 2006.

So, if you receive a reply from him be grateful

Those HD gags are funny. 9 pm is a logjam for me - I have 3 DVRs but just the 1 is a dual-tuner HDDVR and I choose to record CSI and OC on that, so I have to watch Earl in SD.

Western panhandle to be exact.

There's a Camden County across the river from Philadelphia in southern NJ; I assume that's where Earl lives.

You assume incorrectly...

The show takes place in the fictional Camden County, Maryland. Garcia (show creator Gregory Thomas Garcia) won't name the location of the fictional Camden (named after a son) County. He does reveal, however, that his characters will visit Frostburg State U in an upcoming episode. During his own days as a Bobcat, you could have caught Garcia hanging out at a Frostburg bar on a Friday night,

Do not visit that page if you don't want spoilers. There is a list of all known "list" items, etc.

This has quickly become one of my two favorite shows. But not enough Nadine for me this week.

Hmm... if Earl said it would take a few hours to get to Frostburg, that would place Camden on the Eastern Shore of MD. Earl's character is just about right for that part of Maryland .

Pretty good episode. Nothing special, but had some decent lines.

I thought it was established he was in New Jersy? Although it could be in almost any state.

Not necessarily. It would take about 2-2.5 hours to get to Frostburg from the Baltimore or DC area.

Maybe you're thinking of Brodie or Banky
Seems way too Southern to be NJ.

That is what I thought, but I could have sworn in one of the previos Earl/Office threads it was stated that the Office was set in PA, which we now know for sure, and Earl in Jersey. I have not been to either place so how redneck parts of Jeresey are I would not know.

Maryland would make sense with a dive like the crabshack being able to afford crab as the large part of their menu.
