I wouldn't get too excited. The rumor is that UHD will only be on Comcast for the next several weeks for their Olympic Coverage. Is it occupying what was INHD2's spot in the channel lineup?
I'll have to check my Comcast when I get home.

That was one rumor.
I still wouldn't count on it being permanent.
I'd still rather have ESPN2HD though.

Brighthouse in Tampa/St. Pete/Clearwater has had this channel for a while. At first they had it for the US Open, then cancelled the channel (which frustrated the hell out of me), then gave it a permanent spot. Perhaps they'll do the same with Comcast.

regarding the olympics, are they going to carry any of the figure skating in hd, or do i have to hope my local nbc stations shows it in hd.

Yep - as I suspected - UHD is occupying INHD2's slot here in Arlington, VA (and I assume most of the Comcast counties around here).
Rypro - I doubt you'll see figure skating (at least the medal contenders) on UHD. NBC will hold all that in tape delay for primetime broadcast on NBC-HD. I'm sure that event will be presented in HD.
http://www.nbcolympics.com has a comprehensive TV schedule for all their networks.

I've been thinking about whether I could justify spending the extra $15/month to get upgraded to Digital cable and the DVR/HDTV box, the new HD channels might keep nudging me towards the upgrade...

Its here in NYC too...I had the upgraded HD channels, but besides ESPN, I never watched any of them so I took them off. ESPN-HD isnt worth and extra $10.00 a month for me, especially now since CF is over.
