I don't know about the relationship between them, but I have heard they play college students at that local school Veronica's fellow juror teaches at.

Excellent episode.
Logan is one calculating bastard. My first thought when he was hitting on Hannah was that "she looks too young" but then when I saw her dad, that got to me.

Nice catch, it's been too long between episodes and I had no idea who he was supposed to be, even if the show was trying to make it a dramatic reveal.

Hannah is incredibly cute.

Why did Veronica make up that story about a girls name being on a bill ?? Did she suspect someone in the audience was trying to frame someone else?

I was glad people were dunking wallaces x-GF. I havent forgiven that bitch for playing veronica.

I guess that is why she made it up. The whole plot was a little too strange for my liking. So Weevil took the money to set up Thumper, which is fine, but Veronica was okay with him keeping some of the money (which he used for the car)? It just so happened that the teacher had skimmed off the top as well?

We went to Catalina for our senior trip (though we didn't have to raise money for it, as it was covered by the school because it was practically free, and far cheaper than Magic Mountain would've been: bus&boat ride to Catalina [b]

I'm guessing it wasn't the trip to Catalina that cost so much -- it was the ritzy stuff they planned to do while there.

Sometimes you have to watch the previouslies to be reminded of a long-ago plot thread or character.

And even then, by the near-end of the show (when the guy was revealed as Hannah's father), I had forgotten that he had been in the previouslies.

Yeah, but whoever played her is kind of a bad actress.

Regarding Logan and Hannah's encounter (not a true spoiler, just the beginnings of a theory):
Spoiler:
Does anyone else think that Logan did not just randomly come upon Hannah? I think he knew exactly who she was and who her father was. The "previously on Veronica Mars" sequence showed that he had encountered him before as the person who called in the police. Logan didn't look surprised at all when he rolled up. Something's up.

Back to Keith and the baseball player, I guess I've forgotten but how did the police connect him to the bus crash?
Wasn't there something about the cell phone fragments somehow being connected to him? Plus, he was having an affair with the journalism teacher who broke up his engagement. I don't know how much the police knew though.

Bro, there's nothing ritzy to do in Catalina.

That's why it's expensive -- they had to bring it in special.

Listen, I have no idea what Catalina even is, if it's not the maid on My Name is Earl.

I don't think Veronica was okay with it, but what was she going to do about it? What proof did she have?

Jimmy James: Veronica never has proof on anything. That is why she is always in undercover/spy mode. I just find it odd that she is ok with Weevil stealing the money. Something doesn't add up in the scenario. Maybe I just missed something.

There were supposed to be new episodes for the next three weeks, but they have been held for now, until the show can get a better lead in, since the ratings have been horrible lately. From Kristin:

From bs2343: I just got into VM and love it! I just heard that last week the show only had 1.4 million viewers. I think the ratings are totally not reflective of the actual audience. How do I get a Nielsen's box to help turn the tide and save my favorite show?

If anyone knows, please let me know! I'll trade you my soul for it. The ratings are dismal lately, but that is due to the crappy lead-in--South Beach. I'm hoping UPN will hold off on eps until Top Model returns, so we can get those numbers up and secure a second season!

From sydney_summers: Happy Valentine's Day! Can you tell us what's going on with Veronica this week and the preview-new-show-repeat controversy? Please, tell me I don't have to wait another week.

I'm not sure about what is out there but I do believe they may be doing what I said--holding off on new episodes until the show has a better lead-in, so people will see them and the show can survive! Trust me, the network is behind the show and wants to do right by it. At least, that's definitely the sense I've gotten. I just heard back from UPN. And yes, the new episodes of Veronica Mars that were supposed to air Feb. 15, Feb. 22 and Mar. 1 have been pushed back. It hasn't been announced yet when they will air. Sorry! I know. It sucks to wait, but I honestly think it's a good thing for the show.

I hate having to wait for new episodes, but if it prolongs the show, I am for it.

Believe it or not. Some people do not like this show. They consider it to be Nancy Drewish. I think it is a great show. Unfortunately, I represent a cross-section that isn't going to bring the numbers in for this show. I have yet to miss an episode.

It is so easy to blame networks, lead-ins or timeslots. But there has been successful shows in nearly every time slot imaginable with crap lead-ins. This show is not a broad appeal show. I don't think it is possible to make it one and still have me as a viewer.

This show needs to move to a better network. I can't get it where I live and rely on the "kindness of strangers" to get my VM fix. And I'm sure I'm not alone -- this could be the first show in history that has more online viewers than direct view.

I read somewhere that Rob Thomas was hoping for more viewers with CW because more affiliates would carry the show.

Chances are its lead-in will be Gilmore Girls, so it would be a great match.

Upn put up a press release yesterday as to why last night and the next 2 weeks are repeats
Veronica Mars is facing a lot of competition in February, so to protect the series and to make sure that as many people as possible can watch the original episodes, we're going to air repeats for the next few weeks. The good news is that when Veronica returns some time in early March, we'll have nothing but original episodes through the season finale - so the goal here is, after this, no more repeats.
and while i'm at it

hey, for once, maxim does a half way classy shoot, w/o too much airbrushing and the cover girl doesn't look like a crack whore.
