Anyone notice that Scott Brazil is Co-Executive Producer ? He was involved with Hill Street Blues years ago ...
Now I know why this show is back on top of its game this year.

Knowing that Ronnie sweeps the clubhouse for bugs every day, I figured they were setting Kavanaugh up to fail. Also, Vic is way too smart to make a deal with the Russians while the team is already balls deep in an IAD investigation. It was a beautiful thing to behold. Even the weak captain took a piece, "Get those cuffs off my men NOW!" Kavanaugh is going to be desperate now, since anything he does will look like a vendetta from this point.
How many more episodes until the Dutch Man taps that rookie cop's ass?
When Danny was rubbing lotion on her extended belly, I got a bit of a chubby. Who's with me?

[HOMER]So the cops knew that Internal Affairs was setting them up?...[/HOMER]
heh, after the sting, I was laughing so hard when Vic acted all disgusted that IAD would bust good cops.
I knew the fix was in on Kavanaugh really early. The cut from him to the clubhouse, focusing on the trophy and the way they were practically talking right to it clued me in. It was just by the end, I didn't know how they would pull it off.
The only thing, those looked like actual bullets they were loading into the guns as Lem left for the night. Granted, I don't know exactly what blanks look like, but the rounds they loaded had bullet tips poking out of the cartridges...
Still a great episode. It looked like Whitaker was doing some Ghost Dog moves in one scene.

As for tonight's episode, my favorite scenes were the ones where Kavanaugh is listening in on the wiretap and taking notes. Very well staged. (Reminded me of "The Word" on The Colbert Report).

Ok, Thief is set to premiere on 3/28 so we've got 6 left, putting the Shield 1st half finale on 3/21. I think Thief is only 6 weeks worth of shows, so is Rescue Me starting in May then?

No one has mentioned the sweetest part of Vic's plan, which was when he tipped Aceveda to the drop. Beauty. Forrest was made for this role.
Also, I fear for any dectective that grills Vic's ex.

So could Vic start hounding the department through his lawyer, the press and brass about being persacuted by Kavanaugh and what appears to be his vendetta against Vic?

How about 7 million.

Vic one step ahead of Cavanaugh. As cool as last night's episode was, I hope it doesn't always play out that way because it played out far too easy.

Loved the ep. It's unreal how good this is getting. The Shield and 24 have been keeping me at the edge of my seat. I wonder if they could do some sort of crossover between the two shows at some point. Maybe Jack Bauer and Vic Mackey dealing with the Russian mob tied to terrorists thing. It's probably not feesible with the filming schedules but I think it would be cool to see that at some point.
