What a stupid move to can this so quickly. It wasn't perfect, but had great potential. Guess they won't be happy until every one hour scripted show is some form of cop/crime drama...

Not that it makes much of a difference, but is it officially on hiatus or cancelled? I've seen both listed on different articles.

I think the official status is on hiatus, but there are enough sources indicating it is cancelled that there is no hope.

That's fine with me. I liked the first two episodes. I watched the third episode yesterday. It was terrible. I respect everyone involved less for it and hope that it kills some careers. I am not one to just threadcrap, but I have to tell you folks that I wouldn't have watched another episode even if the show did continue. I actually emailed a friend of mine who had also been watching but decided not to watch the 3rd episode when the show went on hiatus. Here were my complaints:

* That director character being played straight acted more like Ben Stiller on Arrested Development than anything else
* Judy Greer's job? We see one action shot, and it's a lift from Sports Night.
* The blatant "male Sex in the City" diner scene.
* The way they resorted to Judy Greer's character giving us a monologue explaining what they wanted us to know about her character because they couldn't be bothered with establishing any of that via characterization
* Tom firing the director and shooting the damned video himself. Was that going to be the answer to everything? A local DJ won't do what Tom wants, so Tom hijacks the transmission and becomes the DJ. A promoter causes a problem, so Tom buys the venue and puts on the show. A sound engineer sucks, so Tom does his job for him.
* The already talked about backwards hat garbage.

Absolute crap...from the network. This show deserved better.

I hope CBS becomes the next NBC...
