Crap, I missed it again! If I start watching next week, will they recap the story at the beginning of the show? Do they rerun it on Bravo or Spike?

Well this show is being shelved in March and no mention whether is coming back...

CBS is hoping some of the success of its naval-cops drama "NCIS" will rub off on another show set in the military -- "The Unit."
The network says "The Unit," a drama about special-forces soldiers and their families from David Mamet ("Glengarry Glen Ross") and Shawn Ryan ("The Shield"), will premiere at 9 p.m. ET Tuesday, March 7. Although it will face a formidable competitor in FOX's "House" in that time period, the new show will also get as its lead-in "NCIS," which has a compatible theme and an audience of better than 15 million viewers per week.

As a result of the move, "The Amazing Race" will be pushed back to 10 p.m. ET starting March 7, following a two-hour premiere at 9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28. "Love Monkey," which has struggled to attract an audience in the 10 p.m. slot, will give up its berth.

CBS :bmonkey:

mongoco 02-08-06 09:06 PM

Why can't the networks do original programming on Saturdays anymore?
Fuck Les Moonves.

MFRONE 02-08-06 09:13 PM

A show like this should not be on at 10pm, it's not really an adult themed program.

Patman 02-08-06 09:22 PM

Neither is The Amazing Race...unless they really go overboard with the Red Light District segment in Amsterdam...heh...

mongoco 02-08-06 09:27 PM

This show would be perfect on The CW.
Everyone send a banana peel to CBS.

Patman 02-08-06 09:37 PM

How about a Gilmore Girls/Love Monkey Tuesday night?

Love Monkey is interesting enough, but Veronica Mars is tailor made to be the lead-out for Gilmore Girls.

Patman 02-08-06 10:25 PM

Dunno, a little too much estrogen for the evening of GG/VM. Gotta strike a balance.

mongoco 02-08-06 10:26 PM

Smallville + Veronica seems a better fit

Things may change with the merger, but I have Aquaman pencilled in as Smallville's lead out. Aquaman seemed like a lock to make it to series on the WB, but who knows with CW.

I think having Veronica and Chloe on the same night would be a little too weird, personally.

Patman 02-08-06 10:29 PM

Yaw, that's what I'm talking about. I think Aquaman is going to a lame show.

I always thought Gilmore Girls & Everwood would be a great fit.

Single mom/single dad + quirky small-town.

I don't think today's Everwood is a good fit with GG (Everwood is not funny enough/too serious), but I felt that about the two shows in the past.

I think Everwood and Love Monkey could work well together, but I fear they'll both be gone as of upfronts.

Daniel-A 02-09-06 12:09 AM

I love Entourage but what they started with the whole Aquaman movie is unforgivable. If it does come to fruition it can't be interesting enough to have me waste an hour on it.

kvrdave 02-09-06 02:00 AM

Hate to see this show go away, and I loved the episode. I may have to pick up Teddy Geiger's album. :)

Chew 02-09-06 06:05 AM

Just when I find a brand new show I like, it leaves us. :(

kvrdave 02-09-06 11:00 AM

I never watched a single episode or minute of Ed, but this makes me want to check it out.

Daniel-A 02-09-06 12:15 PM

The last season of ed wasnt great, so dont start there, but the Kelly Ripa and Sabrina Lloyd episodes were excellent.

Where exactly can we check it out? I don't see that it's on DVD. Is it replaying on a cable net?

Daniel-A 02-09-06 01:10 PM

Hmm. I didn't even think about that. Almost everything is on DVD and I figured it was just the same. Guess the people from that Stuckeyville site dont have as much pull as the fans of some of the much less popular shows. Oh well.

Unfortunately, no. It aired on TBS (in order) last year, but stopped some months back. I'm sure someone over at stuckeyville.com could help you out though.
