It's in MusicRightsHell at the moment.

Apparently Love Monkey "on hiatus" has now officially been changed to "cancelled".

Ed was truly a great show. It never pulled in the strong ratings so NBC always got the from me for sticking with it for 3 seasons.

Minor point, but it was on four four seasons (albeit it a slightly-shortened fourth). Point stands though, that NBC stuck with it as long as they could and allowed the creators to give it a send off they envisioned.

So next week they are showing a rerun of NCIS and then the week after a rerun of CSI in Love Monkey's timeslot. Sick of these sweeps tricks.

CBS is giving Dr. Phil another prime time special to label kids psychopaths.
That's all we need to know about what CBS considers quality programming.

Woe is me again for falling in love with a show that can't last a season.

This news REALLY upsets me. I still haven't watched Tuesday's episode, but I was really digging this show. It was very smart (especially with all of the music references), and it was very refreshing. In fact, I believe it's the only show I'm watching on CBS right now.

If it really is canceled, that'll be too bad. I loved ED (I still do love ED), and I liked seeing Tom Cavanaugh playing an Ed-like character in the music business. This really sucks!!!

Other than Love Monkey, I was watching How I Met Your Mother on CBS but now I'm dropping that show in protest of this cancellation. CBS is dead to me.

Feedback Sent.

Thanks for not giving Love Monkey a chance to find its way in the network lineup. Perhaps next time you have a new show which you want to succeed you will not put it up against Boston Legal and Law and Order: Special Victims Unit. This is the best 1-hour show your network broadcasts, but you'll probably just order up CSI: Alaska to take its place.

Effing CBS.

n-e-ways, email sent, though I thought I would try a different tactic:
Dear CBS:

Upon the recommendation of several members of Entertainment Discussion Group I belong to, I added Love Monkey to the shows that I have a TiVo Season Pass to. I just recorded my first episode this week, and may I say I am pleasantly surprised. It's the kind of smart comedy that I am so used to "The Networks" ruining with a laugh track. I look forward to seeing how this clever show develops.

Sincerely,

Joe

we'll see what happens guys.
I came home and my wife told me to send a response. We lost "Committed" from NBC last summer. Hope something happens for this show.

What the hell - the networks don't even let people get a chance to watch eps that they have recorded before they decide to dump a show!!!! Have some patience you fucking nit-wits!!!!

It's absurd - enough already.

The show wasn't even on last week thanks to the SOTU.
This cancellation is Bush's fault!

I told them of my disappointment, and how CBS only gets 30 minutes a week out of me NOW... from their coveted 18-whatever demographic... I also suggested that they give the show another shot, but rename it "CSI: LOVE MONKEY"... maybe that would work.

I am really disappointed that LM is on hiatus/cancelled. Can't a show get some time to grow? Sheesh.

They're talking about it canceled on tvguide.com If there was doubt before it is gone. I'm actually really sad about this.
