anyone remember this old kids show
probably from the 70s or 80s - it was basically alaphabet people, with each character having a letter on their shirt and i think the vowels were girls. what was the name of this show?

Yup it is the Letter People.
Miss A... ahhhh chuuuuu
Mr. B... beautiful buttons
Mr. F had funny feet
etc.
Also, yes, all the vowels were the girls.
They were an educational learning system available to schools and also had a show on PBS.

Sadly, a new company bought them out and made them all PC.
Oh! All of them had their own song as well. I have the record from childhood. "I'm Mr. M... with the munching mouth! My mouth goes munch munch much time for lunch lunch lunch..." something like that. Rather catchy for kids.

Also off topic, but didn't think it needed another thread. This made me think of another kids show from the early/mid 80's on HBO, where they did a episode dedicated to each letter in the alphabet. Anybody know the name of that show? I think it had a guy named Jim Fye or something like that in it. Tried to google but couldn't find anything. thanks.
