I hate these early threads! I thought that I had missed an episode last night. I think that they did replay last week's last week though.

The title alone should entice people to watch this show.

Don't the title and references in the first season mean that it has to do with reefer?

so I'm not a regular Veronica Mars, watcher, but since there was no Lost on tonight, I tuned in. Now why was Wevil getting his ass kicked? Was it for hanging out with that other white guy that was playing hot shots golf?

The "other white guy" is Logan, who is suspected of killing a member of Weevil's gang.
But now we know for sure who did the killing, although I'm not entirely sure that the motivation behind the killing is clear.

I liked this episode because it's getting us back on track with the investigation into the bus crash, and Wallace and Veronica are back to working together.

Definately and upgrade because, as you state, it did seem to get the show back on track.

It started slow but it got better as the show went along. It seemed more focused and then it really copped out in just having Veronica get that phone and the way Wallace was going to get out of his troubles. All that suspense and it's like, "here's the phone, it must have the number of the guy who was being paid off, have you dad track him down, and everything's solved."

Then dad show's up to where the kid is spending all his money, which he just keeps out in plain sight in big stacks, and we're done. Very disappointing way to end that story, although it made sense that they tried to get Jackie involved. Still, I thought they telegraphed to us that she was taking the guy away to set him up to help Wallace in some way.

As much as I want to, I don't care about Jackie. There are enough people for me to be interested in already and, I hate to admit it, but I actually missed Logan. When he's in a scene, especially with Veronica, it's all good.

Even though they'll find some way to get them all involved, I sure hope they do what they can to correct the mistake of too much of stacking the cast and gracefully keep Charisma (I love her, but still), Wally and the Beaver, and Steve Guttenberg out of as many episodes and scenes as possible.

I'm already interested in Weevil and Logan possibly having to pair up even more, how Veronica and Logan deal with their issues, if Duncan is actually gone-gone and how they handle that, any visits from Mac would be nice, Veronica, Weevil, and Logan teaming up to right the wrong of Logan being blamed for the murder and Weevil's betrayal, and, of course, the whole mystery of the bus, and maybe even some payback for Meg's abusive parents. Add on top of all of that, that we're probably gonna get more of Jackie and they have plenty to keep us busy without all those other people getting in the way.

Wasn't that Veronica's mom telling me to "Snack on" during a commercial for some kind of chips or something?

Pretty good episode, other than the fact you knew from the first frame that Jackie was faking.

Enjoyed last nights episode, and Im glad the finished Wallace's storyline pretty quickly because I was getting a little bored by it. I would like to see the Fitzpatricks get more "airtime" so you have a 3-way of Weevil's (well not now anyways) gang, the 0-9ers, and Fitzpatricks "fighting" each other.

I don't think they were ever mentioned in Season 1 - basically they are a violent Irish gang/family that have something to do with the bus crash and the murder(s).

Not suprising that this show would pick up once Duncan was out of the picture.

Excellent episode. Didn't really care about Wallace's storyline, but it didn't suck. I'm really glad they're getting back into the bus crash and Felix's murder, and I'm especially loving all the twists, turns and red herrings they're throwing at us. I'm pretty much convinced that Woody doesn't have anything to do with the bus, because that anvil Gia dropped was just too big.

It wasn't a surprise at all that Thumper was going against Weevil, he was just kissing way too much ass during their "investigation".

Absolutely love the Weevil/Logan scenes. They're great individually, but together they're totally awesome. It's a good thing Weevil's getting out of the gang if they're buddying up with the Fitzpatricks; I would not want to be around them when the relationship goes sour.

Dick as usual was great with his "smellologist" comment, but I hope he taunts Weevil some more, because I really want to see him get beat down.

The show was definitely uneven. What is the point of having us not know that Jackie is in on the plan? It's fine to have the payoff at the end, but I found it odd, since she was at odds with Veronica, and miffed at Wallace for not getting back to her. I wish she would room with Duncan somewhere.

I like the Fitzpatrick storyline, but don't like where it is taking Weevil. So he is now an outcast from his gang? How long will that last?

It looks like they will start to tackle the bus crash a bit more now. I don't buy the theory of having a dead rat there to smell bad to get the rich kids off the bus. I hope that is not what ultimately the rat was there for. I would rather if it was there just to scare Veronica.

I'm guessing it'll last forever since they beat the shit outta him and (it appears, barring any turn around from Hector, which is possible) driving his bike into the ocean. But hell, maybe that's just me.

How exactly would it scare Veronica if she was dead? She was meant to be on the bus but wasn't. I'm not buying quite yet that it was all. about. her. but if it was, the little message doesn't do all that well getting through to her if she's shuffled off this mortal coil.

The new dead rat theory doesn't make much sense. Why would anyone go thru the trouble of finding, handling, and taping a dead rat under a seat, which will be left behind as evidence, just to make a smell? Why not just go to Walmart and get some deer scent? It's like instant stink in a bottle.

They live in California, not Wyoming or Kentucky.

Still, taping a dead rat under a seat would be pretty low on my list. Rotten egg, spoiled milk, even a fish if I had to go for a whole animal would be much easier to find and handle. Heck, the fish wouldn't even be as out of place in when they pulled it out of the ocean.

Great to see Britt singing "Veronica".

Another very appropriate Elvis Costello song for the show could be "Watching the Detectives".
