Surely they know better than that. I keep thinking they're compiling a soundtrack CD (or perhaps box set at this pace) based on all the flashy and recognizable music they're using.Originally Posted by Rogue588

My knowledge of the early space programs is limited at best, but maybe the title comes from the fact that both Randy and Earl spent the whole episode going out and testing and experimenting with different ways to complete their respective tasks. You know, to find out what worked and what didn't, and to hopefully do it better next time.Originally Posted by JasonF

Kinda like little space monkeys.

It's not an issue for newer shows. The DVD rights and the original broadcast rights are negotiated at the same time.Originally Posted by Ravenous

I'm not so sure that's true across the board: I was just reading that Cold Case won't be making it to DVD anytime soon, if at all, due to the music rights. Most cases they can only afford to pay for the rights for broadcast and couldn't afford the DVD rights too (especially when they use one artist for the entire episode, like Springsteen).Originally Posted by Groucho

Thought the episode was OK tonight, not as funny as some in the past but still highly entertaining.

Great line, and he actually said "Steven Wonder."

Ethan was a more convincing blind guy in just those few minutes than Ron Eldard was in any episode of Blind Justice.

Joe Jackson's early music was much more ballsy than the Stepping Out days. I'm The Man and Look Sharp are good examples. I felt bad for Anthrax when Joe's version was still better. (Another band re-did Elton John's Saturday Night's Allright for Fighting and had the same prob.)
Good episode. And I also was wondering about music rights. Hope they negotiated for DVD as well.

I felt bad for them when I finally found out it was a cover a few years ago. I always thought it was their best song, but it wasn't even their song. Originally Posted by BassDude

An entertaining episode, but I didn't laugh out loud many times. I thought it was a bit odd that he didn't get himself acquainted with the other tasks once he realized he was out of time. Meaning, I would have at least went and met the grandma even though it was too late that day to go visit the prison. Also, I think I would've given that guy day-old donuts after awhile.

I have a hard time believing that Catalina would ever leave a job at the strip bar to become a maid.

Great ep, but a question: I jumped on the Earl bandwagon late, so I haven't seen the first 5 or 6 episodes. So who's the one-legged donut girl? Is she someone whose problem he hasn't got around to fixing yet?

we've seen her once before. One of the things on his list is "stole a car from a one-legged girl". that's her. earl tried to set it right in one episode, but got chased off by her no-legged boyfriend.Originally Posted by redskull

It seems like its a recurring gag...while most every week he crosses something off his list, the one-legged girl is shaping up to be the one entry that he can never correct, with the girl flipping out every time she sees himOriginally Posted by redskull
