I mean come on people, they brought in Tom Wopat for a Dukes Of Hazard reunion episode. If that wasn't a telling enough indicator that this would be Schneider's last year, I don't know what the hell was.

I guess he wont as it stands now because of what happened with Lex.

And what happened to Lois the 2nd time around? and why?

She fell while trying to reach the junk food since Lana wasn't around to catch her...maybe?

First the how then the why.

I liked the final scene as well, but the CGI snow was distracting. Especially after I noticed it wasn't landing on his coat. Nothing was added to the snow that had fallen.

Honestly, It was what was expected. Smallville bends the mythos, but isn't foolish enough to break it. We have seen the potential of Smallville. We know what to expect.

Man, I think the writers really dropped the ball on this one. Every character on the show could have taken a huge step forward in the character development area with the death of Lana. I agree that nothing is accomplished with the death of Johnathan. This is just my opinion, but it seems clear to me over the course of the last two seasons that the writers are using Lana as the catalyst for Lex's turn to evil, but that could easily have been accomplished using Johnathan. Now we are stuck with more of this Clark/Lana bullshit and the show has lost the great confrontations between Johnathan/Lionel and more potential interaction between Jor El and Johnathan.

Yeah, the time reversal was pretty lame, but I think it was done pretty well. I figured it would happen because all of the random shit that was going on at the Daily Planet that seemed to serve no purpose. I think it was really well done with the Lois/cookies thing, Johnathan appearing at Lana's wreck and then Lana looking at Johnathan driving by.

Next week's episode looks a little lame. I was hoping Smallville would avoid the "revenge" episode often explored in TV after a huge loss, but apparently not.

Does anyone know the name of the song and the artist who sang the opening song when Lana was in the barn?

Unfortunately but that was my hope intially after the rewind. I knew from spoilers that Johnathan would die the second time but didn't know how the whole episode would play out. I thought the writers would subvert everyone's expectations and have them end up together the second time as well.

I think it accomplished nothing. If they wanted to kill Jon they could of done it while progressin' Lana's character still. If nothing else, have Jonathan die while Clark is goofing off being a lover boy in the FoS with Lana. This would of made Clark feel like he let his guard down and let his father die. They could of done so much, instead of goin' back to the ole' time reversal crap.

Lame...Great acting and filmed well. But, an F for story. First of all...no surprise who dies. They have been airing scenes of Lana's car crash for the last week or so. So you knew it wouldn't last. They took the easy way out by killing Jonathan. The Lana character has to go for the story to move on. One of the best things changed in the Superman comics in his 80's retcon is that Jonathan is still alive. He gives Clark a base to go back to when life as the most powerful person in the world becomes too much.

I agree. If nothing else, I think he still remained the voice of reason a lot of times. I am not sure the Martha Kent character will be enough to keep Clark's home life interesting.

I hate it when I finish watching a TV show and feel like I've been ripped-off.

I'm getting tired of these Smallville twists where someone finds out about Clark's powers, and then there's some whammy like amnesia or a time warp and everything's back to normal. And I absolutely hate that they advertise these revelations as though "this is the episode that changes everything".

Well, I will say this...the first half of this episode cemented my belief that Tom should've been Superman in "Superman Returns".

Agreed, and not just in terms of his size or look. He has improved so much as an actor since that first season. He's no Laurence Olivier or Russell Crowe by a long shot, but he's pretty dang good, especially in this role.

I will agree with that much. His acting has got a lot better and he does have the look down now.
