This episode has finally made me mad as hell at this show's creators and writers. I've enjoyed the show up until now, but I thought this show would move everyone's character arc forward. Instead, we are right back to where we were before this episode began.

Oh great more minute by minute commentaries of the episode like in the 24 thread. Can't anyone watch and then post After the episode??
Easy enough.
Oh and this episode was complete and utter bullshit.
Thanks a lot Smallville.

This is actually a nice episode. One that setup a lot of things pertaining to the first superman movies:
1. Dad Kent died from a heart attack. This is inevitable i guess. Great setup though and further mystified what the deal was with Lionel.
2. Lana and Clark really did not end up with each other
3. Clark's anger towards Lex grows even more when he saw lex and lana together.
4. Clark saving Lois' life may setup that romance angle in the future part of the series.
5. Clark remember the tip given by Chloe to do the spin on earth's rotation to save Lois' life in the future.
any other.....

Oh man, those last scenes were heartbreaking. Martha's eyes expressing so much pain and anguish from Jonathan's early demise was just killing me. The graveyard scenes, touched off with Peter Gabriel singing in the background was just as haunting a funeral scenes as I've seen on TV in a long time.

I've always envisioned the series ending this way. Why the hell did they decide to do it now?

Yeah, those SEVEN posts must've really been a bitch to skip over (well, EIGHT counting the one bitching about it
)As far as the episode...i'm still processing (and watching Earl). But I guess Peter wasn't good enough to have his song mentioned at the end?
