"The Office" will go off the air at the end of March so star Steve Carell can film a movie, Reilly said."
That movie is Bruce Almighty 2. Hope it's better than the 1st one.

Was there really any doubt that My Name Is Earl and The Office would be renewed? I can see The Office being a bit doubtful, but all those iTunes downloads couldn't have hurt.

In 4 months NBC will be bitching about how Las Vegas has declined in viewers dramatically and how Law and Order is no longer a hit. They will say that Law and Order is too old and that the ratings have been going down for some time and they will say that Las Vegas just fizzled.
Then they will try to shove more Joey type stuff out there and I will no longer have a reason to watch NBC AT ALL (until the next Olympics)

I'm really intrigued by HEIST, and I think I will tune in for TEACHERS, too.
Moving VEGAS to Friday does seem absolutely retarded.

Are they trying to kill Las Vegas? It is one of the few relatively new shows they've come up with that has gotten decent ratings.

I also have no clue what they are doing with L&O? Collossally stupid. Even if people are bigger fans of L&O than Lost, they know that each L&O episode gets repeated 3 or 4 times by the end of the summer, so they can pass.

Five shows I would watch if given the chance, all fighting over the same one hour slot. Yet, there are nights I watch nothing.

I am so glad NBC renewed THE OFFICE... I thought they might dump it for an "earl meets friends" clone... and how the hell did Wednesday at 9 become such a great time slot? Baffles me why they would log jam it with so many "A list" shows...

Any word on "Scrubs" lifespan? i would so hate to see this go as i think it is the last, great comedy any station has put out in the past 5 years!
i really don't see the hub-bub over Earl and Office. i tried to get into both many times, but it just didn't take.

The article in the paper today about this also mentioned Book of Daniel being taken off the air. Anybody hear about this? It's a pretty good show. I knew it wouldn't get another season, but I was hoping they'd air all the episodes they shot.

Hmmm. I didn't know that. I thought it would be a different character in a non-L&O universe.
I forgot how they resolved her whole stint in the witness protection program. Was she out permanently?

As far as Scrubs lifespan goes, I would say maybe another year. It's getting a bit too silly for it's own good and this is coming from a big fan of the show.

I understand what NBC is trying to do moving L&O to 9 (a established show to lead-in to Heist), but that timeslot is brutal (Lost, Criminal Minds, Veronica Mars, and American Idol results).
Bringing back Deal or No Deal as a weekly series just because it got good ratings during Christmas week (against reruns?) and moving Las Vegas to Friday is stupid. A better Monday schedule would be The Apprentice, Las Vegas, and Medium.
I hope I'm wrong, but I have a feeling that Scrubs is finished after this season.
Since the one hour blocks are continuing after the Olympics, it appears that NBC is trying to burn off the 22 (24?) episodes as fast as they can. Plus, the ratings have been terrible and the show has to fend for itself on Tuesday rather being moved after Earl (which everyone not employed by NBC wants to see).
