Well, she was the dying leader who led them to the home of the gods, saw the snakes numbering 10 and 2, and all that. Kinda screws up the prophesy, but since the priest is dead, I guess they can sorta fudge things now.

Good point. She cleans up REAL good. Any idea how much time passed between this ep. and the prior one?

mikehunt 01-23-06 08:28 PM

did the prophecy actually say she'd die?
besides, since when are prophecies 100% accurate?

I saw on another board that it was like 3-4 weeks since the last ep.

Maybe it was never intended for it to be cancer that does her in.

So it's safe to assume 1,752 people on a fully armed and staffed battlestar. I still think there has to be much less on Galactica just from the circumstances it was in (battles, being decommissioned).

BTW, before the Admiral died, the count was at 49,599 -- last episode it was at 49,598. Are we to assume that not one single human died when they destroyed the Resurrection ship?

And BTW, I first noticed how HOT real-life six looked in the extras of the Season 1 DVD. When she's just talking outside of her makeup, hair down and all...

Anyone know where I can download season 2 episodes?

Anyone catch the little smirk on Tigh's face when Adama started choking that dude out? Little details like that and the so-far-consistent running survivor count make this show truly immersive.

There was a small BSG teaser commercial during this involving the "Hulon/Cyman" fetus that was pretty cool, even if slightly slanted politically.

Interesting point. That blog gives these numbers though. So it seems Cain's death was counted at the start of 211 before she actually was killed?

211 - 49,604

212 - 49,604

The blogger also says - (I am sure we’ll see the counts go down some next episode to take account of how ever many people they may have lost in the battle. I am sure they had to loose more then just Cain.)

So maybe we will find out Friday!

Next day.

I assume that there are some babies being born. In season one Billy told the president about the first baby born in the fleet and she changed the number to reflect that. I have figured that as a result you have to take it a little loosely. Nearly 50,000 people will have a decent number of babies born.

Well, it's just a good thing that the future of humanity doesn't rest on the shoulders of kvrdave-type males. We wouldn't have any female babies!

;)

I was wondering how they were going to get rid of the Pegasus, since the show is called "Battlestar Galactica" and such. In the original show, the Pegasus disappeared after the battle with the Cylon Baseships. That's how I thought it would happen again, but then the Pegasus survived and now
Spoiler:
the Cylon sympathizers have a nuclear bomb.....
just an opinion.
