I was hoping to get more talking about this show. I have not watched it yet, but I wanted to see if people felt that the writing was getting better. Anybody watch this?

It is a little edgy
Spoiler:
the stuff you've probably heard: the gay son, the drug dealing daughter, the drunk wife, the pill popping minister, the lesbian sister-in-law and JESUS!
AND a little predictable
Spoiler:
the two Mafia brothers being mistaken for a gay couple

I will stick with it since it is a limited series (8 episodes, I think) AND it seems to offend the religious right.

After the premiere I thought it was just the family that was looney but it seems as though the entire congregation is nuts (but in a funny way). I didn't realize the show was going to have such a short run but I'll keep watching regardless.

I am really enjoying this show but am disappointed that it will only run for 8 episodes. Any plans for a "season 2" of sorts?

The daughter is being stalked by Yoda. I think that's kind of funny.

The mom is hot.

Have there been any shows were liberal households had troubles like these?
FAMILY TIES was the only show I could think of, but there troubles were nothing like these.

I thought this episode was much funnier than the pilot eps. For a Friday night show, I don't see why they don't continue to produce more episodes. It is actually starting to get good.

Oh Yoda... no you didn't!
