But why would only FOXNEWS ream Mr. Stewart and not CBS,ABC,NBC,CNN,MSNBC,PBS?
Is it because FOXNEWS is rightwing as liberals say, but then that means that there are 6 stations that are leftwing. Now let figure this out 1 rightwing news, 6 leftwing...naa that would mean there's a liberal media out there!

If it's true it's not B.S.
But they should just do the Oscars like they do the Golden Globes without an m.c.
Last year it may have gotten Chris Rock fans to tune , but it made those who don't like Chris Rock to tune away also.
And with John Stewart the same thing may happen.
There will be those that may think it's going to be all political put-down jokes againest one group.

Well, the Oscars broadcast isn't supposed to be a political forum either, but you can be reasonably certain that's exactly what it will become with Jon Stewart hosting this year. When Hollywood turns the 78th Annual Academy Awards into one giant 'Bush Bash', the political rhetoric is going to dominate the proceedings and be damn near impossible to ignore.

I think Stewart is an inspired choice and will be a fine host.

Jon Stewart wasn't political at all when he hosted the Grammys a while back, so I don't see why it would be a problem here.
He's a comedian. What he does on his show is one thing (and while he is a liberal, he goes after everyone on his show), but give the man credit for knowing how to handle himself.
