And this may mark the last time we may ever see the show on FOX. After this episode, the show goes on hiatus. :(

It does?! That's surprising, considering the multiple articles about Justine Bateman guest starring on the show. You would think that FOX would want to publicize (and actually air) that episode.

Bronkster 01-02-06 10:34 AM

The L.A. Times had a pic of Bateman with a caption Finale, but no further comment or explanation. A sad day indeed.

It will be bittersweet but I can't wait for this ep. Sounds great.

A fitting finale if it has to be. :(

The Justine Bateman episodes were supposed to air next week, but Fox has put on a double dose of House instead. While TV.com says those episodes are still a go, The Futon Critic and other sources say otherwise.

The ads for this during the football game this morning were hilarious.

Whhaaaaat? They won't air the last two episodes shot? That's hard to comprehend. Hope that's wrong.

More like the last four episodes shot. ;)

Tonight is the ninth episode of the third season. After tonight, we have four more episodes to go.

Jimmy James 01-02-06 07:22 PM

Uhhh...what was going on there?

darkessenz 01-02-06 07:23 PM

haha "tell your friends..."

mmconhea 01-02-06 07:23 PM

What the fuck just happened? This made no sense.

JasonF 01-02-06 07:23 PM

Hillarious episode, as always. And tonight, someone died!!! So if you haven't been watching (and if you're in the Mountain or Pacific time zones), it's not too late to start!

dunno260 01-02-06 07:27 PM

Yes, I too am not quite sure what happened either.

Great live ending (was it live? does it matter?)

Jimmy James 01-02-06 07:45 PM

I thought for a second they were announcing the show was moving to Showtime or something.

Snowmaker 01-02-06 07:53 PM

The whole opening was a shot at FOX for canceling them, right?

I think the whole show was.

MasterCXtreme 01-02-06 08:14 PM

I loved last weeks and this one as well.

-Well I don't think the Home Builders Organization is going to be supporting us.
-Yeah the HBO is not gonna want us, what do we do now?
-Well I think it's Showtime. I think we have to have a show during dinner.

 And the 3-D bits were hilarious as well.
Sad to see it end, I'd love to keep watching, but I just can't buy showtime. I'll wait till the DVD's.

ChrisKnudsen 01-02-06 08:55 PM

Man, this episode was great. So much great stuff, so little time. What were all the cameos?

Or maybe it was the week before... either way it was tivo'd and I hadn't watched it until tonight.

I noticed John Larroquette, Zach Braff, Ben Stiller (Tony Wonder), and Richard Belzer.

I love how they showed us basically all the big surprises that were coming up at the very beginning. I thought it was a great riff on network tv as a whole. They threw about every lame-ass gimmick they could. The first 3D bit about killed me by choking on my drink. Even made fun of themselves by talking about getting an Oscar winner like Kidman around them. Absolutely one of the best.

Off of the top of my head:
Zach Braff
Ben Stiller
Andy Richter
John Laraquette

I think there were a couple more.

edit: Pinata beat me to the punch. :)

Absolutely loved how they basically made fun of as many people as possible. They made fun of themselves, the people who don't watch the show, and tv in general. I loved the ultra gimicky 3d shots, and the 'live' ending.

I am a bit surprised that www.saveourbluths.org is not a real website.
