I need the quick summary of the Cheerteacher. (boy was she and her "friends/family" painful). I know she ended up with, what, $96,000? What was in her case, and remind me of what was left.

I had an itchy "delete" finger on the tivo after she said "deal", and now my wife is mad at me.
There was only $400 in her case, but after the deal was made she picked the other 2 non-$750,000 cases. So she would have been offered like $400,000.

Don't ask me how I know this. It caught my attention because I thought she looked like Pickler from AI.

NBC has one up now. Looks like they removed the last one. You can save this, and play it offline too.

The problem with that game is that the amounts offered are ridiculous. I had $400,000 and $.01 left and the offer was $124,xxx. I know on TV they low-ball the contestants early in the game to help push them along, but at least towards the end the deals get more realistic, unlike this online game. So there isn't much comparison between the TV and online versions.

I couldn't blame the guy last night a bit for taking the deal of $44,000 plus a pony for his little daughter. Even they did put him on the spot quite a bit. I mean, how big of a dick would he have come off as if he turned that down with the girl peering up at him with doe eyes. Turned out he did have the largest amount left ($200,000) in his case but still...
I guess then he essentially won a pony. Cause you figure after taxes, the cash will probably just about care for the pony's care.

I could do without the chicken dance by the sassy lady that came up next.

Dumb bitch just lost everything.

She had 1 million, $500K, and $300k on the board with 3 others. She said no to $299K offer and opened the $1 Million. Then she said no deal to $144K and opened the $500K case. Then she still said no deal to $70K and opened the $300K case.

She finally took an offer of $25K, and her case had $50K in it.

I hardly ever watch this show (I really can't fathom how people watch this regularly), but I happened to watch the last 20 minutes or so of this tonight. What a dumb bitch. When will these idiots realize that they are essentially gambling their own money - would that dumb broad wager that kind of money to win half a million in a casino?

Goddamn those models are really hot though.

Yes, I happened to catch it tonight. When the woman turned down $299,000 with $1, $50,000, $300,000, $500,000, and $1,000,000 on the board, I was actively rooting for her to lose. What an idiot.

It's like she was hell bent on destruction. She was taking chances when there was no need to take chances.

But there was 3 BIG NUMBERS and only 2 small numbers left. Should've listened to her level headed boyfriend and not her stupid mother and friend, but I could understand what she was thinking.
I wonder though how are the cash amounts placed in the cases: are they done randomly by a computer program or a by a human? For when she opened case number 6 and it was the million dollar one, would that mean then the likelihood of her case(7) having a large amount as well was not that great, if a human was indeed assigning the amounts to the cases?

Actually, now that you mention that, I got a real "Press Your Luck scandal" vibe out of the fact that she had a list and was so hot there for a little bit.

I see what you're saying. If a human was assigning the amounts at "random", he or she would scatter the large amounts throughout the 26, almost by instinct. It would take a computer to do it correctly, because if it was truly random there should be clusters of like amounts. It would be interesting to find out.

As for last night, she turned down $299,000 but then opened the case with $1 million. That cut her offer by more than half. She was so upset at losing half the offer, I guess she didn't realize that she was being given almost $150,000. The amounts don't seem real to them unless they're losing. I would probably be the only contestant to take the very first offer, sinbce it's all found money. "Eleven thousand bucks? Hell yes!"

The ladies first offer last night was $25,000.
On the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire show, contestants go ape shit if they get to that level, and lots don't even. Also many Jeapordy contestants don't often win all that much money and they have to actually know things. I think the people on DOND forget stuff like this.

I so badly wanted to punch that opera singer guy last night. He was like a big blowhard buffoon imploring her to not take the $299,000. Then as her whole situation started to rapidly unravel, he started saying "take the deal" like he was suddenly the voice of reason.
For some reason the lady paid NO attention to her husband and brother who were the only ones making sense. Her stupid mother was a total fool.

Anyway... for some reason, I still find myself tuning 3 times a week for this show.

It wasn't too long ago people had to know lots of arcane knowledge for just 64,000$. Or be able to fill a pyramid for 25k-100k. Or match Richard Dawson for the big 5k....
anyway, I caught two eps of this in a hotel last week. Slow and stupid, it doesn't even require the intelligence of Wheel of Fortune. And yeah, Howie looks like a freak.

A good way to make this show ineteresting:

Get a bunch of friends, everyone throw in 5,10,20, whatever. Everyone pick a number, who ever has the highiest amount of money in their case picked or not wins the pot, you can also do it for the game for the players at home cases 1-6, this definately makes the game more interesting. We do this at work and have people calling in to get into the pool, it definately makes the whole program worth watching.

Took a deal at $124.xxx and ended up with .01 and 1,000,000 left, my case had the million.

However, best I have done so far was taking a deal at 461,500. Came down to the million and 300,000 case, I had the 300,000.

What happened to Deal Or No Deal

What happened to Deal Or No Deal? It used to be on after Survivor but the last two weeks it was not. Did it get cancelled? I am in Canada. Are they stopping to show it here because they are going to do a Canadian version of it. That is going to be gay even though Howie Mandel who is a Canadian is still going to be the host.

That fat guy on the last one sucked. I hope he bought himself some beer that he loved so much with his big 10 dollar win.

Deal or no Deal for 02/18/07.

What did Tony's briefcase have inside? I know he sold it for $94,000 but my Tivo cut it off before the ending of the show.

I thought it was kind of stupid myself. There's no way I would take the deal with those big numbers still on the board.
