So... who's going home next week? Jerry or Lisa? I think Lisa's fanbase is smaller than Jerry's (I get the sneaking suspicion that the order of the reveal of who's safe indicates the order of combined score).

Red Dog 02-12-06 10:53 AM

Jerry will go next. Lisa has been getting better each week.

movieking 02-12-06 12:28 PM

Agreed. We all know who the final two will be, and who should win, but who knows what will happen.

Patman 02-16-06 08:44 PM

Well, Jerry was definitely the worst of the 4 tonight, but strangers things have happened, and it's possible Lisa could still go home.

Both Cheryl and Drew, and Stacy and Tony were pretty much on their game, and Lisa and Louis weren't far behind.

Wonder how Bergeron will do tomorrow night as he gets to dance with Ashley.

Len's "Hardened Artery" was hilarious.

cmleidi 02-16-06 09:06 PM

As usual, I was not impressed with Drew and Cheryl. He can not rid himself of the las vegas magician posturing. Len makes negative comments, and then gives them a 9?

Lisa will probably go which is sad as I think she's much better than the overrated Drew and Cheryl.

Red Dog 02-16-06 10:19 PM

No surprises - Stacy looked hot and everything went to form once again.

Patman 02-16-06 10:23 PM

Stacy's abs are phenomenal.

magiccmom 02-16-06 10:36 PM

Choreography!

Cheryl is by far the best choreographer, in my humble opinion. Her song selections and her moves are edgier, sexier, and makes the dance so much more enjoyable. For that reason alone, I hope they win!

Patman 02-16-06 10:55 PM

Is it just me, or are the songs sung too slow for some of the dances?

maingon 02-16-06 11:32 PM

stacey is amazing, shes so hot :)~

The music and the dances tonight were all kinds of messed up. I was having the hard time catching the vibe of the dances because the music just did not make any kind of sense. It was a very strange night. It seemed like everyone had a big fight right before the show started.

I think they're very good, but I agree with this criticism. Almost every performance of his is like the "Thriller" one with an awkward stiffness to his movements. It doesn't look right during the more romantic dances.

Side note: I don't think it is possible for Ana to have been any sexier than that second dance. Jerry was terrible, but she sold it.

If this is true its going to be great.

But the again, he's probably practiced for it for the past three weeks.

Patman 02-17-06 07:59 PM

Well, my worst premonition came true. Let's just say that Jerry is still in the competition. Bummer.

Not a surprise. I hoped Jerry and Anna would be gone, but no such luck. The audience is obviously not voting on the dancing. There has to be a way to balance the votes so that a mediocre dance with a larger fan base doesn't beat someone who legitimately deserves to be there.

zebop 02-17-06 08:05 PM

People know damn well Jerry Rice can't dance. He's pretty much the Scott Savol of this competition. Lisa Rinna going home? Doesn't make any sense.

I have no idea who Scott Savol is, but I agree about it not making any sense.

It also has to do with the scoring. The judges refused to give Lisa and Louis the scores they deserved while overscoring Drew and Cheryl. There's no defense for Len giving them a 9 with all his remarks. IF that had been L and L, he would have given a 7 or an 8.

You've got to be kidding me. That's fucked up. I continue to weep for this country.

They should just let the judges decide it.

big whoppa 02-17-06 08:24 PM

Jerry is a likeable guy for sure and really enjoys dancing. But Lisa shouldn't have gotten the boot. Would like to see her dance more.

onebyone 02-17-06 08:26 PM

I voted for Jerry and Anna, with a few votes for Lisa, because I like to watch them best. I am not a dance expert so I don't know all the technical details and I am not too worried. That is what the judges vote is for. If it was just the judges deciding, people would be complaining that they were biased and say, "Let the people decide." Either way, complaints.

The judges acted more whack than usual last night. I am not shocked Jerry and Anna were saved. 2 of the judges being snits likely did nothing but drive up their phone vote.

I wasn't really prepared to let go of Lisa though. Ok, I cried. She's just so easy to like and such a hard worker. I am going to miss her. A lot. I know her career is doing fine, but hopefully she gets more chances because of this. A lot of folks started this season hating her finished up crying that she left.

RocShemp 02-17-06 08:28 PM

I was very sad to see Lisa go but I knew she was gone the moment Jerry passed. I like Jerry a lot but I wanted to see Lisa go on.

It was great to see Ashley once again. And I loved seeing the encore of Drew and Cheryl.

Patman 02-17-06 08:30 PM

Harry Hamlin looked so dejected, but you know he had to be fuming on the inside as well.

RocShemp 02-17-06 08:35 PM

Yes, I'm sure he was pissed. She didn't deserve to get voted off. All through this season I've been hoping she'd surprise everyone and actually take the trophy. She's really pulled her weight and then some.

das Monkey 02-17-06 09:12 PM

They should just let the judges decide it.

How's that working out for "Skating with Celebrities"?

I don't think I fully realized this until last night, but Carrie Ann is jealous of Stacy. It's pretty clear that Bruno is in love with her and is overpromoting her, and now Carrie Ann is irritated and overcriticizing her. It's to the point where we can predict their comments before they even dance.

And the judges have learned what Simon Cowell has seen time and time again, the more they lambast a team, the more it mobilizes that team's fanbase. It happened with Master P until he finally couldn't overcome the combined judges scores and popular vote, though he should have been gone after week 1 or 2 at best.
