Ding Dong! The Nursing Witch is gone! Eve had a really rotten Christmas eve: her boyfriend dumped her and then having Kovach get her fired after she poured the urine of Bad Santa on Bad Santa after he misbehaved in the ER. Sam inadvertently spilling the beans about Eve's dismissal was hilarious.

Didn't much care about Sam, her kid, and her deadbeat jailbird ex-hubby.

Who knew Morris could sing so high, higher than Helle, in fact?

Who knew Clemente was seeing Sheila from "Rescue Me"?

Pratt's storyline was okay, not as engaging to me, especially with the overwrought "let's show what collateral damage looks like for gang warfare" scene.

Is it possible to know you're preggers within 3 weeks of relations? Anyhow, congrats!

Sam's kid seems to have inherited Recastingitis from his father; this time, Dad was played by Garrett "Deadwood" Dillahunt.

Yes it's possible to know within a couple of weeks of conception.
I got this from Americanpregnancy.com
"A blood test can detect a pregnancy earlier than a urine test (about 7-12 days from possible conception)"

Wonder if Abby will have the baby this season.

By the end of May, she'll be about 27 weeks into her pregnancy. That's about 13 weeks shy of a normal 40 week pregnancy, so maybe they'll open next season with the birth.

Does anybody care about Sam's stupid family? Hell no. Quit wasting air-time w/ the most re-cast storyline in the show's long history.

I'm still enjoying where they are going w/ Abby and Luka. His character is so much better now that he isn't w/ Sam and her spawn.

Very happy w/ Eve's X'mas presents.

Morris was actually funny this week. I can't believe his character has been decent two weeks in a row.

Weaver needs to make her way back to the office.

Both have been recast for some time, by these same actors. IIRC the kid was recast first.

I actually liked this episode, I think I like this season better than last one so far.

I really liked this episode...

the mother with her little girl who was shot...was very moving

I really liked Eve, and I loved what she did to Santa. I'll miss her!

My favorite ER episode this year, I loved it.

I know the kid was recast for the season premiere, but I think this was the first episode with Dillahunt playing the Dad.

OK, I miss this show more often than I see it. Could the baby be from someone other than Luka?

They totally got me at the end. I thought Abby was going to end things with Luka, which would've made me sad. I was shocked by what she really said.

Dillahunt took over the role from Cole Hauser during season 11.

The last guy Abby was dating was Jake, but that was done by the first episode this season, so I doubt Abby had any one-night-stands this season, so Luka's probably the only way to explain her pregnancy.

when characters get recast that's a good idea to just not bring them back

Especially when it is Sam's son.
