Giada's freaky smiles kind of turn me off, though.

Meh... She kinda looks like Julia Roberts in that last shot. And that AIN'T good.
Anyways, Nigella Lawson looks better than Giada.

Ray is like the "anti-martha stewart". Although Stewart seems less perfect and more like "regular folk" after her prison term, Ray comes off like real person from jump.

She's still deserving of things I can't say outside of the adult forum.

I like Rachael Ray, I just hate that silly simle she puts on when she tastes food on $40 a day. Come on all that food can't taste good, I wish she would break and spit the food back into the plate.

I think she is the cutest girl on television besides Chole on Smallville. Most males (including me) could care less of what she's making, it's all just to gawk at her. What I love about her is her little giggle that she does ALL the time, that just gets to me.
Sure that Italian chick is hot, and she looks like the girl from the sopranos, but she doesn't have the cute, girl next door vibe that she gives off. So no, she isn't the hottest girl in the world, but she's just a girl who you would love to bring home to mom. 97% of guys here can't ever get super model chicks (i'm in the 3% tile) but she's a normal girl that most guys can get, and that has a great appeal.

Put me in the can't stand her side. I stopped watching her I couldn't take it anymore. Like the OP stated, she babbles and rambles and does that annoyingly fake, "cutesy" laugh all the time. She uses hot powder in everything as if that's her only way to make her recipes flavorful. Giada is the real meal deal. Classic recipes that are easy to make and taste great that wow everyone you make it for. Plus she doesn't look like a gnome hyped up on speed.

I like Rachael...she seems really down-to-earth and would probably make a great friend. I do like her earlier "$30 Minute Meal" shows better because she was a lot less manic. Now she seems almost too comfortable and will often spill things or just shove pans in the oven, and she talks even faster than usual. She's not nearly as calm or professional as in previous seasons (although in the earliest shows some would complain she was a little TOO sedate). One of my favorite newer episodes was right after her dog Boo had died, and she got a little choked up at the end. I'd heard her mention him a lot in earlier shows, so I'm guessing she'd had him a long time. I could definitely relate to losing a pet. Now that she's gotten more famous and had a magazine, talk show deal, etc. there seems to be a pretty big backlash. I don't get it though. I haven't once seen her act stuck up or bitchy. I'll check out her talk show next year. It can't be worse than Tyra's egofest.
I don't know how anyone can complain about Rachael being annoying when there are non-funny wannabe comedians on Food Network like Jim O'Connor or Alton Brown. Or what about Tyler "how's my hair?" Florence, who has to force feed a woman at least once an episode. That guy's a cooking pimp. And although she's kinda funny and half-crazy (and from my hometown), Paula Deen is truly one of the most annoying women on television. Talk about someone who needs to tone it down just a tad....Racheal's got nothing on her and her grating southern accent.

I agree with Robo Nigella Lawson beats everyong when it comes to hot tv cook ladies. I swear I was watching softcore porn half the time that show was on. Everything about Nigella was just so sensual and sexy. Giada always seemed like FoodNetworks answer to Nigella, but Nigella smashes her.
I really like Rachel though. She puts it on a bit too much (that forced laugh of hers is terrible), but she's a very cute and seemingly sweet person. The one thing I like about her show more than most cooking shows is that the stuff she makes actually looks like food I would actualy want to eat. I don't have a sophisticated palatte so the stuff the "chefs" make on most shows looks like ass to me. Rachel has a real practical, meat and potatoes way about her which I also enjoy.

Whoever it was that said that she should be the long lost Gilmore Girl (in some Gilmore Girls thread earlier this season) was spot on.

I like a dose of Rachael Ray every now and then. She has that perfect girl-next-door thing and brings what I perceive as sincere energy to her work. Nigella is just plain hot. Giada is nice too, but not my cuppa.
