South Park - "Free Willzyx" - 11/30

"Free Willzyx"
Spoiler:
A "talking" whale inspires the fourth-graders to risk everything to return him to his family. With the police on their tails, the boys enlist the help of a foreign government and embark upon an adventure you'll not soon forget. One in which the boys learn just how far you would go for a friend.

Worst episode of the season so far.

The Dakota Fanning shot was good though.

WHA??? Not even close, It's one of only 2 decent eps this season.

I've noticed that I'm the exact opposite of the majority of South Park fans around here. If they hate it, it's almost a guarantee that I'll like it.

movieexchange, no offense, but if you think that drawn together is constantly hilarious and this was one of the two funny episodes of south park this season, i'm going have to assume that you blew a funny fuse long ago.

No, I just remember how funny South Park used to be. The stuff they've done the last few seasons has been junk.

And yes, Drawn Together has been almost constantly funny. It's the type of humor South Park had in the first 4 or 5 seasons.

And if you meant "no offense," you wouldn't have been insulting.

Token in white face when they broke in to steal the whale and the Mariachi band coming out after the launch were pretty funny

Planet Zypod...or however it's spelled. It's from the Kim Jong Il song at the end of the credits "You are Worthless Alec Baldwin".

Eh, my wife and I laughed a number of times:

Token's whiteface
Butter's enthusiasm for the plan
The fact they sent Jimmy, Timmy and Tweak to the Chinese embassy
Timmy's "silent" "Timmahhhh" when they were sneaking in the water park
The Mexican Air and Space Admininistration
The dead whale on the moon

Gets a thumbs up from me!

I liked it as well. I do tend to like the episodes that aren't blatantly following a current event though a little more.

The dead whale on the moon was just fu#@ed up. I think it was the tounge hanging out of his mouth that did it for me.

Uh, no. Seasons 6 and 8 were pure gold.

I'd have to say there's been only one completely funny episode in this current batch. The rest have been about 3 laughs per episode.

Token got the biggest

Pretty nice episode. The life like sketches of the 4 boys was SO hilarious.

The dead whale on the moon made me kind of sad though.

These were my favorites as well. I also liked the "it was funny to pick on the kids, and it'll be funny again", but they used it too many times. I also loved the composite sketch of the boys.

I thought it was a funny episode. I loved Token's whiteface, the composite sketch, MASA and the final shot on the moon.

One of those episodes where the synopsis sounded lame but the episode turned out hilarious. The composite sketches were funny and a little creepy at the same time.

I liked the episode okay. The highlight was definitely the composite sketches.
Also funny was when ALF was celebrating the return of the whale to the ocean, as the rocket behind them is preparing to launch Willzyx to his castle on the moon.

This was the first episode this season that I didn't think was fantastic. That being said, Token in white face got a laugh, I was pleased to see all the supporting kids get something to do for a change, and the whole dramatic "It was funny, it'll be funny again" business was humorous.

But an average South Park like this one still blows most shows at their best out of the water.

Either I've lost all my sense of humor or South Park just isn't that funny anymore.

Considering this is the second half of Season 9, it's pretty lame compared to the first half. You know what? I take that back, all of this season has been pretty lame. The only episodes I've actually liked this season have been Wing, Die Hippie Die, and Erection Day (all from the first wave of the season).

This has probably been the weakest season since 4.

And just for the opposition, Drawn Together is still shit.

Wow. Weird choices, Die Hippie Die was my least favorite ep ever. BFF and Trapped in the Closet were my faves.
