I've noticed a few times when Dave plays games with audience members, a girl named Vicky brings out prizes. Why does she always call Dave, " Mr. Carney " ?

"Vicky" also known as "Monty" and "Smitty" is Stephanie Birkitt, Dave's assistant.
Over the past few years, Dave has (it appears) dragged kicking and screaming the seemingly perpetually exasperated Stephanie in to the spotlight.

Why does Vicky call Letterman "Mr.Carney"?
It's just another recurring piece of unexplained silliness that Dave adores.

I've been meaning to start a thread on her for some time now but the bitches around here seem to hate Letterman so much I just forgot about it.

I love her "deadpan" delivery, cute face, and crazy comments.

She has a pretty sweet gig going. She does stupid shit on the show and gets to consistently treat Dave like a jackass. She replaced Ms. Letterman at the Olympics and similar events. What more could she ask for? She's probably already in the guys will.

The Letterman show needs more "Vicky" and less (much less) Paul Schaffer.

I think Biff Henderson is hotter.

I believe she will be leaving the show when she completes law school. I would think being one of David's top 3 assistants (all female, all hot) would be a high paying gig that would lead to a higher position in WWP, with this show or doing other things, but "Vicky" decided on law. I love her on the show, but I don't think I'd want her representing me in court.
