I bet I'm the only one to watch Bones and Related on the board.

Tscott 11-18-05 12:20 PM

If I ever do find myself in front of the tv when my "must see" shows aren't on I tend to gravitate to "The Soup" and "Best Week Ever" to hear people make fun of the latest pop culture references. Also I wind up watching some random poker show at least once a week.

Not that I watch any of them every week, but I do find myself flipping through the channels on some nights and watching:

Haven't seen Related, but I quite like Bones. While I wouldn't call it absolute brilliance, I do think it's one of the better new shows of the season.

I watch numbers. I didnt think it was bad enough to need to be called a guilty pleasure, though.

Yeah I like it, but from the looks of the Bones threads around here, no one else does.

I'm just waiting for the people who watch UPN. Aside from Veronica Mars I think the whole channel could be thrown in the ocean and no one would miss it.

You know, now that you mention it, since Enterprise ended, I don't believe I've watched a single thing on UPN. Not even Veronica Mars, which I saved for the DVD release.

I forgot about kids shows.

I think I enjoy "Jack's Big Music Show" even more than my 15 month old son.

Reunion and Yes, Dear (I'm probably the only person admitting to watching this show in this forum).

superman69 11-19-05 12:27 AM

among the shockers on here, im surprised anybody watches yes, dear (hate that guy), Freddie and george lopez. but thats just me

i am surprised though that 2 1/2 men doesnt get more love, hilarious show. im also into 4400 (no one mentioned) and ghost whisperer (waiting for the ratings to drop enough for J-Love to start wearing some more "revealing" outfits.)

outside that, i had completely forgotten UPN was around, never look that way on the channel guide

How bout the daily 'Martha' Stewart show? I know she's a hard woman to love but I've been a fan of her ever since I stole some of her Living magazines from a girlfriend when we broke up.

She is definitely NOT at her best in the live show setting. She works much better when she can be edited in a canned format. She's constantly forgetting or mispronouncing her celebrity guest's names and projects. She always seems rushed and steps on whatever someone's saying when she's interviewing and only seems vaguely familar with recent pop culture.

And every show there is this underlying tension that she might snap any minute and chop someone's head off with a cleaver when a child in a segment misbehaves or when some celebrity guest says something stupid.

GREAT television...and it's on every day!

And since no one else has said it yet and I KNOW I'm not the only one watching....MY Super Sweet 16!

Cant say there is anything I watch that would be appropriate for this thread.

I admit to watching late night rerun marathons of Next on MTV. It's obvious some of the lines are scripted, like their intros and after someone gets "nexted", but the actual interaction on the date seems real....anyway the whole thing is one awkward superficial freak show. It's like Blind Date with 5 choices and easy money involved. I love when people who think they're hot shit get nexted as soon as they step off the bus. Many memorable ones...the soldier who quizzed one girl on whether he was a Republican or Democrat and dumped her when she guessed wrong. She goes "who gives a shit...i can't even tell the difference" or something like that and stomps off  And then there was the girl who pissed herself. (We already had a thread on her.) One episode's "date" had the girl making two of the guys give to a sperm bank to check the health of their little guys. And some of the flamboyant prancing queens in the gay episodes are so stereotypical it's hilarious. Especially the one who was wearing about 20 plastic bracelets on each arm, one for each guy he'd slept with. All he needed was a mini top hat and he'd be one of the finger-snapping "Men on Film" from In Living Color. I love the looks on the non-diva gay guys, like "please get me outta here" :D I haven't watched MTV regularly since I was about 14, but I'm addicted to this stupid show.

Cheaters is another guilty pleasure I sometimes catch in the wee hours on weekends. Joey Greco is the perfect sleazy host. I think he secretly loves the whole ambush, he's way too into it. His faux-counselor "we're here to mend hearts" schtick is even more retarded than Jerry Springer's Final Thought, but for some reason I find myself watching and enjoying it way too much.

Invasion
Threshold
The War at Home
E-Ring
That 70's Show
Criminal Minds (third favorite new show)
Joey

For me, probably the only 'embarassing' viewing is WWE, but this past week's programming has probably been the most emotional week on all of tv this year.
