Survior
The Amazing Race

The only 2 "shows" I'm afraid to admit in public that I watch...and like. As for everything else I watch, I'm not embarrassed at all. Just Shoot Me! RULES.

"Honey, I have something to tell you and we're going on the Maury show." As soon as you hear those words, you should pretty much know why your kids don't look like you.

I don't understand why the audience claps and is so happy if the guy decides to stay in the marriage/relationship even after the kid ends up not his. Yeah, she won't cheat on you again...

I always hate it when they drag in some guy the woman slept with and he is sitting there insisting he is not the dad, blah blah, and then they show the poor kids sitting backstage looking so cute and confused. I feel bad for those poor kids. If the mother cared about the kids, she'd just keep her mouth shut to the nice guy who thinks they are his own instead of dragging them on Tv to show that their father is some jerk who doesn't even want them.

I really don't usually watch Maury though, but it's on late at night after Conan and I sometimes end up getting sucked into to knowing who the father is.

I started one for the first episode and only a few people posted in it, and I think you said you didn't like it:lol:

Yet they're still always surprised. :)

I like the Maury DNA shows too. Especially if some chick has been on like 6 times with 9 different guys trying to find the father of her cosmically unfortunate kid. It's best if the men do the happy not-the-father dance for the audience while the slutty mother collapses near the water fountain backstage.

There was one chick who was on the show thirteen times and *still* hadn't found the father of her kid? I think it was thirteen because I vaguely remember Maury saying "Hopefully for you, this is lucky number thirteen." Either way, it was an obscenely high number like that and there were still even more guys out there that she screwed during the frame of time when she got pregnant. -ohbfrank-

Obviously, I like those too, and it's probably the only time I watch Maury.

I watch Nick at Nite a lot, and one of my favorites that they've been showing now is Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. I watched it when it originally aired, but even now being older I still appreciate it.

I've been watching "But Can They Sing?" It's an awful train wreck of a show, but Bai Ling's insanely horrible performances always crack me up. "Like a virgin... OWWWW!!" Actually, she "performs" well in the sense that she looks confident and dances sexily and stuff, but her singing is bad.

I also like the VH1 Mindless Entertainment shows like the Surreal Life, Breaking Bonaduce, and My Fair Brady (though Adrian's bitching got really annoying)

Yep.

Although I disagree that Adrian's bitching is annoying. She's been upfront about what she wants since day one. Chris is paying the price banging her and not totally commiting to her so I can't feel sorry for him. I'm pretty sure he thought he could just "play" with her without really "paying". He probably thought she just had some silly crush, he'd bang her for a few months then she'd leave. Jokes on you Chris. ;)

Breaking Bonaduce...I used to like this psycho but this show just really revealed how fucked up both him and his previously assumed to be "sane" wife are. -ohbfrank-

Surreal Life...'nuff said. Cool show.

Another addition to my list...

"Blind Date"... Man, this show is stupid as hell with all the silly graphics and the host is annoying. But damn if I can't stop watching to see the trainwreck dates.

List of crap that only I watch:
Freddie
George Lopez
According to Jim
Joey
Laguna Beach
and one probably no one but me watches
Related

mookiemeister 11-18-05 07:37 AM

Related and Reunion. Neither show is doing well in the rating, but I enjoy watching both shows.

Red Dog 11-18-05 07:41 AM

Freddie
One Tree Hill
Stacked
Mile High (on BBC America)

Deftones 11-18-05 07:56 AM

Really the only questionable show on my list is American Idol.

Doughboy 11-18-05 08:00 AM

One Tree Hill and The O.C. are my guilty pleasures. I've caught a few minutes of Related, mostly for the really hot cast.

Tracer Bullet 11-18-05 08:43 AM

Wife Swap

I can't think of anything else. I barely have enough time to keep up with the good shows.

Ayre 11-18-05 08:47 AM

What I like About You

mmmm Jenny Garth is all growed up.

You guys mean there are Maury episodes that aren't only about "who's your daddy?" and "make some unfortunate person's Christmas wish come true"? :hscratch:

You guys are picking weak offerings....

I had to explain to my wife why I had a season pass to She Spies for about 6 months.

I don't normally admit outside the forum to watching WWE Raw/SD/etc.

Yeah, but at the same time I think Chris made it clear that since he'd been married and divorced twice already, he didn't want to rush and make a serious commitment right away. But at the same time, he probably shouldn't have had her move in right away.

What really pissed me off was Adrian kissing Jane, but getting pissed when Chris did the same thing. What makes it alright for her to do it but not him? I know, she said it's because Jane's a friend... but Jane's only a friend to Chris as well. Even if it was another chick, she was still kissing a person other than her boyfriend and shouldn't have been to upset when he did the same. But maybe that's just me. Then the fact that she persistantly nagged and nagged him about it (along with other things.) Just the nagging about the same stuff over and over... we only saw snippets of their relationship. Imagine how much time she spent nagging him that they didn't show us? I can't believe it ended how it ended (I'm sure you know what I mean, with the finale. I just don't want to spoil it for anyone. Just in case.)

Oh, and Chris peeing in her face when she tried to "kiss" him underwater.

It was fun fluff, though.

I'm still not sure if it's real. They are the executive producers, and you gotta wonder why they'd want the whole world to see them like that.

But yeah... the wife is just as screwed up as him. She won't have sex with him, then wonders why he cheats on her with other women. -ohbfrank- She's so damn cold to him. It's no wonder why he was turning to drugs and booze.

Man, I feel like I'm talking about a trashy Soap Opera here.

Out of all the shows mentioned, this one's my only weakness - though I haven't watched it in a while, but that's because I actually got burnt out on it when I first got my TIVO and I practically watched 5 episodes a day... God, I'm so embarrassed.

Phil L. 11-18-05 10:32 AM

Put me down as another According To Jim watcher. Of course I could watch Courtney Thorne-Smith and the actress who plays her sister Dana all day long.

I only saw Hot Properties once but whoever plays "Emerson" on the show is very hot, as well as the other, somewhat older blond woman.

So that accounts for my closet eye candy fix.

To get my shirtless, tattoo'd, cigarette smoking, trailer trash needs met...I never miss an episode of COPS. :D

I actually wasn't that impressed with the pilot for Related, but I gave it more chances and the little show has grown on me.

I am a sucker for the WB. Glad they moved it to Mondays, Wednesday at 9 was too crowded (although they still air repeats then.)

Mordred 11-18-05 11:46 AM

Only somewhat embarassing show I like is Freddie. I think Prinze Jr. is a terrible actor, but the rest of the cast, especially Brian Austin Green, are all pretty funny.
