24

I started watching this series, I like the part about Jack, but all the rest is boring. Have you ever watched something that annoyed you? I think the daughter parts annoy me, it's stupid.
Spoiler:

Come on, her friends arm is broken, Okay, give her some heroine to make the pain go away... Just stupid. I guess if she's supposed to be a dumb teenager, well they've got that down. But if I ever have a kid that stupid, I'll disown them for being that naive. We are in a really bad part of North Hollywood, but let's ask this druggy for help, he's sure to help us...

Spoiler:

The emphasis of time is also goofy, I'll be there in 8 minutes, I need this in 53 minutes, I've been here for 5 hours. nobody talks like that.

I have all 4 seasons, I'm at about s1e5, I'm debating whether to go on watching...

Any thoughts?

Well, I'd say if you hate it that much, why subject yourself to it? It definately gets even more "out there."

But personally, I still think 24 is the best action drama on TV despite its flaws.

Okay, now the wife is a total idiot too. OMG is this series niche based on idiotic behavior? That way, you can HAVE a storyline? Because normal thinking/common sense doesn't behave like this, geeze. I'm done with the series. S1E7.
Spoiler:

No way this conspiracy could have ever taken root or could have been followed through.

Thanks JuryDuty, I just really wanted to enjoy this show. After hearing so much hype, plus the fact that I really like Keifer/keefer(sp?) Sutherland. Oh well.
Back to Supernatural.

I hope you didn't blindly buy the first three seasons on DVD before deciding you don't care for the show?

One good thing though about season 4

If you can't stand the non-Jack storylines, then you DEFINITELY won't like any of the other seasons when it comes to that aspect.

Why do they mention time? Um, because it's freaking important in this show! And I've seen the first season three times, and have never noticed any kind of 8 minute, 53 minute crap that you mentioned. Most likely your hopes were too high to begin with, or you set out wanting to hate this show from the start.

Why would you buy 4 complete seasons of a show you have no clue if you even like yet???

Well, he didn't mention buy. He said "have." That either means borrowed or by another means. I'd have to lean towards the latter since season 4 hasn't been released yet.

Agreed.
I'd say finish season 1 and if it was really that bad, avoid the others. IMO, the first half of season 1 and the second half of season 2 have been 24's strongest.

i never heard of someone not watching or getting hooked into 24. give it some more time its one of the best shows on tv. give the show some time and if you arent too critical on small things you will enjoy this show alot.

but i have a feeling you are the type that are too crtical with every little detail since just the time issue bugs you.

but your missing out of one of the most exciting shows ever

I've watched all four seasons of 24...not because it's good, but because it's just so very very bad...it gives me great amusement to see Jack scowl all season long and see how many lines he can yell this week....to see who the latest mole in the department is....to laugh at their attempt at computer jargon...the insensibility of the plots, etc...

will never understand the devotion to this show but I guess it fills up one slot on my dvr

I disagree about the second half of season 2. I thought that
Spoiler:
after the nuke goes off
is when the show completely fell apart. Who the bad guys ultimately turned out to be was a cop out and the resolution was pathetic. Plus there were a lot of things that season four would take and turn into an overkill crutch.

Legolas, that link would form the basis for a good separate thread..
