I guess I (and a lot of people) assumed it was just because of the disclaimers for ABC/Disney.

Don't know why we should have to spoilerize this, but -

They did the same thing with the Mr. Chicken and Mega Lotto sites too, and those were both fakes. TOS don't mean anything.

I can't believe no one mentioned Boone's haircut in the flashback..

What's with giving the WORST possible hairdo / wigs? (ala Jack in his flashback).

The producers probably love all these fake sites popping up with fake info. Takes the pressure off them for the final outcome.

Don't forget Locke. As much money as this show is bringing in they should have Ben Affleck-quality wigs, but instead it looks like they bought them at the mall at Halloween.

Even the way she holds the gun annoys me.

Maybe the bad wigs are some sort of inside joke or running gag?

Now that we're talking about hair, it seems it's going to become increasingly difficult to do the flashbacks with the way everyone's hair has grown out. In the last Jin episode, his hair was as long as it is on the island, and of course there's no way to hide it, but I can't help but remember watching the pilot and seeing how clean cut everyone looked in comparison to the way they look after a month on the island. Of course, I'm willing to suspend disbelief, but there's no way to do a Sawyer flashback without him already having a 48 day shadow. I guess we can just assume that Jin had really long hair when he met Sun, then cut it short when he was a hired hitman, and then was forced to let it grow out once on the island. Just some inane and entirely stupid thing I've noticed.

I'm not questioning you, I have never heard a Podcast. But what makes these the official words? Are these prepared by the LOST producers or just fans?

From what I have read on thefuselage.com and the official Lost magazine, the producers and writers are very open about what they can and can't reveal. I would be really surprised if they were lying.

Cool. Like I said, I wasn't doubting you. But in this day of blogs and podcasts and fansites, who the heck knows what official and what's not anymore.

So there is it. Won't be the first or last time I've been wrong about this show!
